DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE SENT TO WESLEY ENHANCED LIVING.
My sister recently experienced a health emergency that led to her not being able to walk or do normal day-to-day activities herself. Prior to this, she lived alone and was a very independent and active woman. She spent a few weeks in the hospital before needing to be sent to a rehabilitation facility for daily physical therapy.
My sister was then sent to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line. During my first visit to see her, everything inside the facility appeared clean and everyone we met was nice. Things quickly changed, however, and within a day it became clear that the nurses and aides at Wesley were not doing their due diligence, to say the least. When arriving for my second visit, the patient across the hall was screaming “HELP ME, GET ME OUT OF HERE” repeatedly. No one came to check on the woman, who continued to scream during my next few visits until eventually the nurses just closed her door and continued to ignore her cries for help.
I tried to go to Wesley almost every day to see my sister. When I was not there, I would call for updates but my phone calls were never answered. My sister would call me on her own phone crying, and told me that no one would check on her or come to see her when she would press the call button for help. The nurses were giving her laxatives and then waiting close to an hour when my sister would press the call button for help to get to the bathroom. Even worse, my sister is a diabetic who needs daily doses of insulin. The nurses and aides were not being consistent about giving her the insulin, and one day during her stay her sugar levels were so high that they could not wake her up.
The physical therapists were actually very nice, but since she was only with them for a short period of time every day, my sister was not moved around at all by the nurses and aides and eventually developed a painful bed sore. There was one aide in particular who I witnessed on multiple occasions come into my sister’s room and not speak to her or ask how she was doing or what she needed. She was extremely rude and was not treating my sister with any semblance of respect.
During her final day at Wesley, my sister called for help to get to the bathroom. A nurse helped her up, and then left her unattended. My sister’s medical notes stated very clearly that she required 100% physical contact at all times when standing. Because she was left unattended, she lost her balance and fell backwards, hitting her head and getting a concussion. She was sent back to the hospital, and was so frightened at the thought of going back to Wesley that a caseworker from the hospital got involved to ensure her safety and transfer to a new facility.
I spent every day that my sister was at Wesley worried for her safety and well-being and concerned at the care she was being given. Please do not send your loved one to this facility.

The staff in charge of the assisted living are wonderful. They are responsive to questions and concerns in a timely manner. The single rooms are spacious and bright, newly updated. They are providing activities such as daily exercise and music as best they can with the covid restrictions in place. The community as a whole is amazingly beautiful, just recently renovated with lots of amenities. My mom can't wait to get back to the "resort like" atmosphere once the covid restrictions are lifted.

Everything was very good at Wesley Enhanced Living. The staff was also very good, but it was just a larger community than what they were looking for. The residents look happy and engaged. Everything was very clean, and the apartments were large.
