I had a very nice tour with Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace. They have nice rooms. I liked the facility. It just doesn't meet my immediate needs. And I was told that they don't do two person transfers, and my mother is a two-person transfer, so that automatically ruled them out because they don't provide that. I really did like their eating area. The dining area was very nicely laid out. That day I was there, there was a group of residents working on a project, but because that was not my focus, I didn't pay attention to that. But they do have events (recreation events). They have a van where they can take their residents on outings, and the van is wheelchair accessible, and I like that.

I went to Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace Assisted Living. It's small, intimate, and beautiful. It's in a great neighborhood with lots to do within relatively easy walking distance. The staff who accommodated me was great. Melissa was incredible. She took lots of time with my dad and helped put him at ease and asked lots of questions. She was wonderful.

I have been a resident since 2016 and in all my time here i haven't seen a Administrator & team receive so much respect and love from their colleagues and residents. we have faith again in our home. When our AC went down they went out of their way to get us AC to combat the hot temps. I have enjoyed living here over the years because i have made a best friend and we do everything together. We are a big family here, The activities and the outings are wonderful. Our home is beautiful and unique and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Food could be improved but like us its a work in progress.

The location of Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace was perfect. The rooms were very nice and very clean. I think the staff was very nice too, but they were understaffed, so they didn't have enough individuals to kind of take care of everything that needed to be taken care of. Since it's more in the heart of the city, the building structure was more vertical, like a high rise. There was an elevator and everything was on floors as opposed to where things were spread out on a ground level, so that was one of my concerns. They had a gym, libraries, and a garden that you could go into. The dining area was an open area, kind of like a restaurant-style, with nice tables. The food was OK though. It wasn't anything awesome to taste. It was more nutritious but nothing stood out. Then the lobby was really small, there was a lot of clutter, and there was a very putrid smell that we just struggled with and it permeated throughout the lobby area where you would sign in and as you're waiting for the elevator. I don't know what it was but it was bad.

The rooms were spacious, and staff was kind to myself and the people living there. I had an interesting interaction with a lady in the elevator where she said that living there was like being among friends. They have a post office and a little store inside the building, and there are notices posted up for movies showing in the common rooms. There is also a church inside the building! It's a nice place.

Please talk to residents first before moving here. My mom has lived her for 2 years and she has never received good service and we have had almost zero response or follow through from management or corporate. The food is mediocre, maintenence and housekeeping is poor, care staff try hard and are good people but underpaid and under trained. Morale is very low. I have tried so many times to get management to improve the situation and now I'm just defeated. So now my mom is basically held captive here because it is too hard to move her. Truly, this is probably not a good choice right now for you or a loved one.

Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace had a positive atmosphere. They were caring and we were happy to consider moving our mom there. The staff seemed responsive and interested. The room was nice, clean, had a beautiful view, was roomy, and bright. The layout was really good. Everything was close for my mom who doesn't get around very well, including the elevators and the dining room. It seemed manageable for her. They have trips, movies, and different activities for the residents. They were playing bingo when we were there.

All in all things are going pretty darn good at Calaroga Terrace on the assisted living floor where my husband resides. Staff are very professional and helpful. The call system works pretty good. This is always an area that can use a little work. Aside from the call button he can also call the front desk on the phone at any time night or day - and that is good to know. Meals are pretty amazing - tasty entrees and a buffet style salad bar and soup are always available. We love to get out and it is great to have access to public transportation a block or two away. There are some good eateries in the neighborhood as well. The Calaroga Bus takes people to Fred Meyer and other events and scenic drives. The Calarogo towncar took us to the airport and picked us up upon our return. We feel very well taken care of and feel a part of a wonderful community.

My wife and I have lived at Calaroga Terrace for over three years. In that time, there have been several changes in management styles, some minor and some significant. We would like to recommend a few things: one, hire a dietition for one month to comment on the food and two, use the same approach at dinner that we have at lunch; that is, have one server per table, not one server for lunch and two servers for dinner. With two servers at dinner (one for liquids and soup and salad and one for main dish) we find that it very often takes an inordinate amount of time for the main dish, Last week, for example, it took one hour and fifteen m. for the main dish one day at dinner and one hour another day. Let's try for one trial month to use the same system at lunch and dinner: one server per table. If this change works, great! If it doesn't work, go back to the present approach. Let's admit that it's a trial period of a month; let"s inform the residents one week before beginning the process.

Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace had very comfortable living conditions, and good people who live there. I did have lunch there, and they had great food. They had lots of activities that could be anything from puzzles to off campus where they would go downtown or up the Lloyd Center. The dining area was excellent, open, bright, and full of windows; it's a good spot.

The Pacifica Senior Living Calaroga Terrace is a lovely place, but there was no space to walk my mom’s dog. The lady who toured us was really nice. She was absolutely charming. My mom liked everything, except for the fact that she cannot walk her dog. The rooms are acceptable and lovely. The dining room was nice, and so is the common area. The whole facility was clean and well maintained, but they do not have any place to go outside, no outdoor facility. They are actually redoing their patios, but they needed a better outdoor area.

Calaroga Terrance is where my mother is, and she is very happy there. The staff is very friendly, she said the food is good, and they have extracurricular activities. They are updating the place all the time, so that’s nice too. They offer bingo and shuffle board, they have programs every once in a while, and for Veterans they have holidays. My mom reads a lot, and they have two libraries where she frequently stays. The price is right, and she has lots of views of the city and of the river.

Calaroga Terrace is a dated building. We liked the location, and the closeness of the cafeteria to the rooms. We liked the ambassador program that they have because not all do that. There’s independent living and there’s a little bit of a step program before you go to assisted living. The other thing that we liked is they have an all-inclusive meal program. That’s two meals a day. The food is fine, we ate there a couple of times.

I think we are going to move to the Calaroga. We walked through the facility and saw apartments twice. We ate dinner there one night, met a lot of people who were very friendly and we liked it. It's also a good location for us. The food was very good. The staff was very nice. She really introduced us to people and took us to sit at the table with other people to meet. It was very satisfactory. The rooms are very nice and they have little balconies. We are looking for a large room, so we have to wait. It's not as luxurious or beautiful as some of the others, and it doesn't have a pool, but you can't have it all. I liked a lot of things there; I liked the fact that the people are friendly and that I did not have to put a lot of money down.

The apartments are very nice. We chose Calaroga because it just felt the most comfortable of the places we looked at. The staff is wonderful; they are all very friendly and helpful for my uncle. The food service is almost always very good, he has been really happy. The best part is that it's flexiable, he is able to ask for as much assistance as he needs but is given complete privcy and freedom. I'ts close to the MAX line, so he's able to get around really easily. His apartment room is very well kept and modern. We feel very good about our decision to move him there.
