River Run Place was well located. It was near the mall. It was clean and accessible. The interior was beautiful. The people seemed to be well taken care of. The staff was attentive and busy, yet relaxed. The expressions on their faces were relaxed and very pleasant. Overall, the mood and the ambiance were quite good. The rooms were tidy. I saw a couple of them that were empty. I peeked in on one that had furniture, and it was well-kept. They have people who help take care of the interiors weekly. The scent of the place was perfect. There wasn't any disturbing smell. They have a list of daily activities that are available for the residents to attend. They have a choice on the menu. I saw the menu, and it looked good. They have a chef and not just a cook who prepares the meals, so that sounded good to me. One thing that I might prefer if I were to go there is the option of Medicaid. Right now, they don't have a license for that. The staff was very personable, and knowledgeable, and loved his work.

I would recommend River Run Assisted Living to anyone looking for a smaller community with a caring staff. My mother lived at River Run for a year until her passing. They have the utmost care and compassion for their residents. The food is good and the facility is clean. It's easy for residents to get around the building and it is all on 1 level with no elevators or stairs. It is decorated nice for holidays and special occasions. The courtyard is beautiful. I must compliment the Management- Tonya went above and beyond as my mother's dementia progressed. The nurses and care staff were amazing and always available for her and us the family also for updates on her condition. The activities director, Sharon was always so upbeat and positive and always had a fun activity going on or in the works. Their rates are fair and a good value. I cannot thank them enough and will be forever grateful for all they did to take care of Mom. Teri Armes

River Run Place was nice. The guy that was running it, his name was Steve, and he was super informative. He took a lot of time to tour the facility and explain anything necessary and then followed it up with texts and things to make sure that I didn't have any more questions. Everybody seemed happy. It was a nice place. I like it. As far as I can tell, everything was very nice there. It had a courtyard in the middle where folks would hang out. It had a barbershop type of thing, and it had a fairly large size place where folks eat, sit around in chairs, and play games or whatever.

We've decided on River Run Place for my mother. I liked it all on one level. I like that it's a smaller community. They have about 40 residents there and I was able to talk to a few of the residents that day. They all seemed to have good things to say about it. And then I think the biggest thing, the most attractive option about it was its affordability compared to a lot of the other places that we looked at. So I thought that provided a lot of value for the price. The rooms were a little bit on the smaller end compared to the other places that we looked at. But I felt like they were large enough to accommodate what we were looking for. We weren't able to try any food, but the smells coming from the kitchen smelled good. They do have a salon and a library. They do have an activities planner that plans everything from art projects, to field trips, to game nights. So that was one of the things that we appreciated about our visit. For that helps. They also have a community board that makes decisions for the residents. So we also like that.

I toured River Run Place with my mother. It was excellent. They were extremely nice people. By the time we left, they had a price for us and everything we needed. They did a thorough mental examination on my mother and asked her a lot of questions to check her cognitive awareness. The facility is extremely clean. The people were friendly. It was very thorough, and I appreciated it. They showed us the outside areas where they have barbecues and things like that. There were people playing cards and whatnot, they said they take trips to different places, and there is a Catholic high school just down the street that comes in and performs for them. The apartments have a very nice set-up. The bathroom is huge. It's designed for a wheelchair. We looked at a studio and then decided afterward that it was going to be too small. When there's an opening for a single, they're going to give us a call and we'll take a look at that. They do have a single room, but it's too far from the main activity, and with my mom on oxygen and a walker, she needs to be closer.

We visited River Run Place for my dad, but they won't take him because he's a flight risk. After all, he doesn't want to stay anywhere where we take him. The staff was really helpful. They allow you to bring your own stuff for your family member. They have an enclosed courtyard. The building surrounds the courtyard so they can walk in it safe, and there's no possibility of them getting lost or anything because you can see it from inside. The hallways are long, it's nice because they can walk. They have all these activities, like bingo. It's not like super big, there's not a ton of people. I feel like people don't get lost in the shuffle because there are just not that many people. The staff was just helpful, and they answered all of our questions. They have a nice dining room, and they sit at circular tables. That's also where they hold all their events. They have bingo, trivia, and they have guided walks. They take them places on the bus, they go to the store and places like that. One thing they could improve on is maybe taking in people who are a flight risk. We would have my dad there if they would have taken him. I like most the enclosed courtyard in the middle.

I toured River Run Place. It was a very clean place and it looked very intimate. The staff was great. They asked a lot of good questions. It looked like a fine place for somebody to live. The rooms were small but adequate for the level of care and what the senior needed. They had games, activities, and outings. The grounds were well-kept. It seemed like a pleasant place to be. The building itself was nice, well kept, and adequate. I did not have a meal. The clients are not able to cook, so I guess that would be a thumbs-down.

The tour they gave me was quite good. They have nice facilities, but we weren't able to do it because they're not Medicaid-approved.
