I toured Lone Oak Assisted Living. That facility had a very large one-bedroom apartment with lots of windows, and the outdoor area was very beautiful. Lots of trees, and my parents liked it very much. They had an area where the residents could plant flowers and vegetables. The two staff people I met were wonderful. We all very much like that place.

I do not recommend this facility. Frontier Management has fired/replaced all but one of the former employees. The residents with personal funds just got a second rent increase this year-$1600 total. My mom pays over $8,000/mo and is eating sandwiches for dinner. The sandwiches consist of a slice of meat or cheese and 2 pieces of bread. They run out of food too and have to reduce the portions and serve on salad plates. No one will answer my questions, they just say it's getting better but it's clearly not. Good luck if your loved one has special nutritional needs--like being diabetic. The hourly staff are doing the best they can and are caring so I gave 3 stars for them. I recommend to avoid this place.

I think the best place we went to was Lone Oak Assisted Living. I would describe it as the top-of-the line option in the area, a very spacious facility. They're a little bit bigger than the other place. I think he told me they have like 58 residents. But it's a much larger facility. It's two stories, and the rooms are very spacious. The studio and one-bedroom apartments were the biggest that I saw out of all the places that I looked at. I felt the staff was excellent. I didn't try the food there, but I was there during lunch, and the stuff that people had looked delicious. I didn't see any activities when I was there. But out of all the places that I toured, they were the ones that had the most activities planned. They had a calendar that was up on the wall. They were the only place that would do field trips, like out of town. They said that they made several field trips to the Oregon coast each year. They also did restaurant field trips where they would pick a particular restaurant in town, and just to give the residents a break from eating at the facility every day. They would pick a random restaurant and the residents would be able to go there. Those were very attractive options. Unfortunately for us, it came down to the cost. They were the most expensive place, they had the most amenities, but they came at the most cost.

My mom is in Lone Oak Assisted Living. I like the care of the staff and the grounds. The staff members are knowledgeable and caring. My mom likes the food. They have all kinds of activities. They have bingo, arts and crafts, physical activities like moving your arms and stuff to the senior's ability. The rooms have a microwave and a fridge. They do have little courtyards.

We went to look at the Lone Oak Assisted Living. It was very nice. They had a large two-bedroom apartment. It was all very warm and welcoming. I liked the staff there. The lady that was in charge was great. They had a private dining room, which was nice, so when families come you can eat in there. There was a library. There weren't a lot of two bedrooms. The one that we went into was a nice size and had a lot of light to it. It was just like a regular apartment. It wasn't depressing or anything like that.

My moms been there for almost 6 years and had nothing but the best care.
When she’s in need of anything they call me or my sister up first thing. When she’s needed to go to the hospital we’re informed and when she returns someone’s always there to help here back into her room. Since covid started they have had strict rules and I feel because of there attention to cleanliness they’ve had no cases happen. The crew there are good people, I feel they really want to have there guests enjoy there days there.
I so appreciate the care she’s getting there and I can’t imagine anywhere else that would be any better.
Thanks.

From the second we toured the building, The staff were so warm and welcoming, i knew right away my mom would be taken care of and feel at home. My mom calls me every day to say how blessed she is that she is at Lone Oak. Even though the building is locked down right now, Lone Oak continues to love and care for my mom, and helps us to remain as in the loop as physically possible. This community is warm, and welcoming! Rooms 5 Stars! Interaction with staff 5 Stars.
We are also so excited to see the activity program back up and running!

The good: large rooms, good location
The bad: Lack of care.
Example Med's not on time.
Mom sent to Hospital, but family not informed.
Family called facility and brought Mom back from Hospital. Staff member looked at us and walked away. Didn't bring Mom's walker or offer any help, and she had to walk in without it.

Lone Oak was the very best place our mother could have stayed during her 18 month fight against pancreatic cancer. The staff were knowledgeable, caring and always willing to do what ever our mother needed to make her comfortable. The list of special people is too long to list. Amanda, the manager, assistant manager Kate and nurse Irene were all exceptional support to our family. However, everyone we came into contact with was exceptional. We were referred to Lone Oak by a close family friend, and we were fortunate enough to find a room at the time our mother needed it. I would not hesitate to recommend Lone Oak to anyone who wants or needs care for a loved one.

My mother-in-law lived here for 5 years. She loved her apartment and the staff who cared for her. She never complained about any of her experience and was very content being there the last 5 years of her life.
We appteciate everyone at Lone Oak for helping her enjoy the last years of her life. She was surrounded by caring people who showed her much love. We are truly grateful.

We liked what we saw at Lone Oak so we moved in. The initial communication and visits were good. They helped us with lots of different questions. The facility feels quite new and bright. The staff is good, very nice, and helpful. The rooms are bright and cheery. The food is OK and seemed to meet her needs just fine. We were pleased. They allowed her to keep her cat in the facility. They have a little shuttlebus for folks and a fair amount of activities. I don't have any feeling that there's been anything lacking as far as information, or with the facility and staff members. They seem very accommodating and welcoming.

My brother in law will be moving at Lone Oak. It’s very clean, and I liked the way that they care of their patients. They have almost continual care of all of their medications. It’s spacious for one person and very adequate for what he needs. We ate there, and the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and outgoing as far as he was concerned.

My mom moved into Lone Oak Assisted Living. We are very impressed. The rooms are clean, updated, very nice, and freshley painted and newly carpeted. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable of every need or request that we have. My mother is that not very active, but they have different activities, including crossword puzzles and other puzzles. They also have transportation to take the residents to the stores.

My mom is at Lone Oak Assisted Living. It is a very nice assisted living. They do have some issues with their food but it is hard to please a lot of older people. The staff is really good. I went to a couple of ice cream socials. They also had some of the Oregon football games on and they had some activities with that. My mom does some activities with them, which are nice. I know my mom took a bus out with a group of people from the assisted living. They also have wine making there. My mom has the smallest apartment, but it is sufficient. It is more like a studio with her own bathroom and a kitchenette. Her apartment is more of a smaller level, but they have some bigger ones that would give you more space than what she has. However, for some reason, they have a hard time keeping their nurse. My mom has only been there for seven months, and it seemed like most of the time, they did not have a nurse on staff, so that was kind of an issue.

Lone Oak Assisted Living Facility was my favorite; I liked the location of it. I thought it would be more convenient for my parents. It had good food; the staff was very engaging and very knowledgeable.
They had all sorts of clubs, like sewing clubs and knitting clubs. They have a theater, and you bring your own DVD to watch a movie. It offered rides to doctor’s appointments. It’s just like a community-type of thing.

Lone Oak was fantastic. There was nothing wrong with the rooms. The food was fantastic, and the dining room was like a restaurant. They had all kinds of activities. It was superior. The rooms that we saw had very pleasant colors.

Lone Oak is older, and it kind of has that eerie feeling of a memory community. It was a little more depressing. There were more people out in wheelchairs just sitting around. It felt more like a memory care facility and not an assisted living facility. The cleanliness seems OK. They put down the new carpet. I think they were in the process of refurbishing part of it. It's in the midst of getting remodeled and freshened up. I wasn't there for very long. I just kind of walked in and visited the room that they have. It's at the very end of a very long hall, and it would have been a big walk for my mom back and forth to her room. The room sizes were adequate. They all have nice rooms.

I know that Lone Oak Assisted Living is a good facility. I like their caring staff. They are very warm, welcoming, and are very attentive towards the residents and the family. They have good size rooms. They vary from studios to one-bedroom apartments. My client is in a studio apartment. The food is decent. Some are not the best, but there are some that are very good. They have a spacious dining room that has plenty of seats for all the residents, and they can choose where they want to seat. They have all sorts of things from shopping, bingo, exercise classes, and things like that.
