Chateau Gardens Memory Care was very nice. I liked it because it was small. The staff member was very nice and very informative. She introduced us to the cook and different people. She took us around the facility. I really liked her. She seemed to really care about the people. We did not have a meal there, but we met the chef, and he was very, very nice. I know that staff is hard to get ahold of right now, but I didn't see a lot of staff, so that was something that kind of bothered me. I thought the layout was OK. I would have liked it to be a little bit nicer, but I realized that based on the money that we have to spend, it's not as fancy as some of the other ones. I would have liked it to be a little more updated. They were one of the few facilities that had very small COVID cases. It was well taken care of. They were very careful, and I liked that.

What I liked about Chateau Gardens Memory Care was that they have a lot of activities throughout the day, like bingo, painting, and crafts. The lady who toured me was very nice and personable. It's in a neighborhood, so it was homey, and the staff was interacting with the residents. I could just tell that they gave them a lot of care and attention. It's just that they have dogs. I personally love dogs, but I thought my mom's going to hate that. Also, there are only three bathrooms in the hall and there were dust balls on the floor, so I wasn't impressed with that. The other thing is their meals are not served to them, they have to get them on their own, and my mom is weak and she uses a walker. So, it's just not a good idea to make my mom carry a plate of food.

I didn't like Chateau Gardens Memory Care at all. The place is a dump. The rooms are tiny, and it's dirty. I wouldn't send anybody there. They're also very cheap, which I can understand. It was a weekend, and the staff was just not welcoming at all. The only positive thing was that they are a memory care facility only and that it's cheap. They do have some outdoor space that isn't too bad, but the whole thing is relatively small. They need to improve on everything. The cleanliness is horrible. From what I saw from one of their little-bitty rooms, they were tiny for the residents and dirty. The whole thing is dirty. Now they don't have many residents there, but it's not good at all.

i HAD MOM IN A PRETTY "FANCY" CARE FACILITY, AND THE CARE WAS MISERABLE. I MOVED HER INTO CHATEAU GARDENS AND THE PEOPLE WERE AMAZING. MOM WAS ENGAGED, SMILING, AND HAPPY, BECAUSE THE PEOPLE TREATED HER LIKE FAMILY. I AM SO HAPPY SHE GOT TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE AND WARMTH OF SUCH AN AMAZING PLACE.

We selected Chateau Gardens Memory Care because of the low resident to caretaker ratio, proximity to family and the administrator Kim’s enthusiasm and whole hearted commitment to fostering a family environment for the residents. CGMC exceeded our expectations with their friendly staff, care of our mother who required multiple (unpleasant) wound/dressing changes per day and endless variety of activities and entertainment that went on throughout the day. When we were told that our mother was nearing the end of her life, we kept a vigil by her side, 7-9 hours a day for 4 weeks and saw firsthand, what life at CGMC was like. We couldn’t have been happier knowing that our mother was able to spend the last 6 months of her life at CGMC, happy, peaceful and in the good hands of the CGMC staff.

I have just place my mother here and I can see her beginning to connect with her daily life. The staff is upbeat and caring. The facility is light and open with lots of activities. They have been very helpful with the transition.

Chateau Gardens was farther from where my home is, and it would be more difficult for me to go there to visit my mother. It wasn't as spacious as the other place we visited. The staff was helpful. They did have some activities that they showed us. The place was completely adequate and reasonable, but it was too far. If that had been the closest place to me, I would've chosen it.

I liked that Chateau Gardens just had one flat fee, and I knew what I would pay before I go in there. The girl that gave us the tour was very informative and kind. The dining room was in a pretty open space. However, a lot of people had animals, and my husband hates animals. They had dogs, and my husband is not a dog lover.
