We placed my husband in Ashley Manor - Rimrock Facility. It was a nightmare.He wound up in the emergency room and I brought him home after. I will not take him back there. They oversold their facility, they misled us in so many ways, and I think that's deplorable. The facility itself was nice, the people were nice, but they just did not do what they said they would do. They had bedrooms for everybody, some double rooms, and some single rooms. Each room had a toilet and a sink. They have community showers. The facility was adequate, but they did not have the staff they claimed they did, and they were not feeding him appropriately. The meals were not nutritious. There were a lot of carbohydrates, very little protein, no fresh fruits or vegetables, and it was all canned. They said they did hydrotherapy twice a day, but he did not like water, so they were giving him Kool-Aid.

Ashley Manor is no place to put a loved one. We put my father in law in there and In three weeks Don went from a healthy man to near death due to the incompetence and drugs Ashley administered during his stay. He was transported to the hospital 4 times in less than two weeks and almost died. We got him out of there at the suggestion of an independent doctor. In my view this facility is not qualified to to handle patients with mental disabilities. Nutrition is not a concern of theirs unless you think cool aid and cookies are fine. They seem to be focused more on drugs to keep the elderly sedated. Even after our repeated concerns, they did not follow doctors orders when administrating meds. I complained about staffing but they claim they meet State minimums. If so if one staff member during weekends and nights for 12 patients is lawful then perhaps the law should be changed. Today, one day after getting Don out of Ashley, he is talkative, capable of walking on his own and eating again. When we took him out yesterday he looked like a zombie urinating on himself and couldn't even stand without help.....Ashley Manor is a disgrace. People like Nichole who checks people in will smile and tell you how wonderful it is but don't believe it for a second. In Don's case it was a waiting line to die.

Ashley Manor - Rimrock appears clean and well organized. It's a little small, but that's what they were looking for for my stepmom, so that's what we chose. The service has been fine. We do have one issue that's going on, but they are trying to address that for us. I've seen the residents do coloring sheets. Some of the residents enjoy it and some of them don't.
