It is a great place to live and has good services and activities. It is one of the few retirement homes with continuing care.
However, since the covid pandemic its food service has become poor. The Skyline Plaza is supposed (did have) to serve lunch and dinner for all residents. But instead it now serves only dinner in a "fine restaurant" setting that seats only 75 patrons/day. The Plaza has some 90 residents and many more live in the nearby cottages. Reservations are hard to get. The menu changes weekly to discourage residents from coming to the restaurant more than once a week. Despite many complaints about the food service, management has yet to respond.

My parent's moved to RVM in the 90's. At that time I would have rated this facility a 5 star. Today 2/3 star. My father passed in 2016, & I feel he received great care. Over the last few years, service quality seems to have gone way down. Often, I do not get a return phone call, after I have left several messages. My mother is in Residential Home Care, & while the staff who attend to her seems to be friendly & attentive, (those who bring her meals, medication etc.) it is the administrative staff who make the decisions regarding her care, that fail to call family back.

We moved in 2019 looking forward to joining this wonderful community. After moving in we enjoyed meeting the wonderful residents, but within eight months we discovered that the RVM is located in a geographical “basin”, that not only collects smoke from local fires but, because of the jet stream, collects smoke all the way from Canada, Colorado and Northern California.
In 2021 the fire season began in May through to October. With the little air flow in Medford, the smoke sits as an inversion layer for weeks on end.
This was extremely concerning for me because I have asthma and because smoke particulate is so small, even masks did little to help. The air quality, according to IQ air, a worldwide air quality site, varied from unhealthy for sensitive groups to hazardous. The only respite we had was when we could escape to the coast to find fresh air, but even that was difficult because of the many people from the basin who filled the limited hotels to a sold-out capacity.
There is no accommodation at Rogue Valley Manor for leaving due to health reasons, so we lost over 200K of our hard-earned retirement money in less than 24 months.

I toured the Rogue Valley Manor. It was very open and airy. I like the fact there was plenty of room to walk around and enjoy yourself. The people were really nice. They answered all my questions, and they were not really pushy (which I appreciated). They have great food. It looked like a great place to live. The staff were very friendly and open. It was very nice, clean, and well taken care of.

I toured Rogue Valley Manor. I like that it is a continuing care facility. Whatever care that you need, they have it. They even have a physician on duty, and full-time nursing care. They have all kinds of programs for seniors. They just have about everything the seniors want. We had a meal there, and the food was very good. The staff who accommodated us were very thorough, helpful, and polite. They were able to answer any questions we had. Overall, it’s a really nice place.

I had the opportunity to stay at Rogue Valley Manor for two days. I had a one bedroom with a kitchenette. They do have different activities like line dancing, exercises like stretch and tone, water volleyball, and aquatic exercises. They do have many clubs and activities offered. They have gourmet food. It was very fresh, healthy, attractive, and well prepared. The staff was accommodating, friendly, warm, and gracious. They are also efficient and effective. The place has a lot of grass, beautiful trees, and flowers all around. They have roadways as well as hiking trails. They have everything from a houses down to studios.

Rogue Valley manor is a beautiful place and very clean. The rooms were fairly of good size and each have a view of the city. The dining area is beautiful. There were a lot of activities for the people.

The Manor was wonderful! The staff, the environment, everything was great. I loved what I seen, had it been within our budget I would have moved my mom in without a second thought and me along with her. The Manor is a lovely place. I was very impressed! It has its own clinic and doctor on staff full time!

The rogue valley manor of southern Oregon, is located on top a hill with beautiful views in each direction. There are two golf courses each on a side east, and west at the base of the hill. There is a quiet neighborhood leading up to the manor. Residents live in a variety of situations ranging from independent homes, condominiums, and assisted living. There are multiple facilities and activities available to residents, the time I spent in the manor was in observing with physical therapists in the outpatient clinic. The Occupational, and Physical therapists that provide service are employed through Consonus Healthcare systems. The therapists were extremely professional, and provided exceptional care. The therapy facilities were clean, organized and had state of the art equipment, including a Hydro Works Therapy pool, that offered patients a underwater treadmill.I meet many residents that all spoke highly of the level of care, services, and activities that the rogue valley manor provided. I would recommend the facilities to a family member in a heartbeat.

The Rogue Valley Manor is a beautiful establishment. I was amazed by how professional the health care staff was, being friendly and dressed well. I felt that there was an ambiance which created an "at home feel". That was extremely comforting to me. I accompanied a friend of mine who was visiting a family friend that was staying at the Manor. Her room was beautiful and had an amazing view that overlooked the Valley. There was lots of space and the furnishings were great. It was quiet, peaceful, and clean. Another amenity I was impressed by was the gym facilities offered to guests. It also looked like it was staffed with someone to help guests with physical activities. I did not feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable at the Manor, which I think some assisted living places can cause discomfort in visitors. I know I will recommend the Rogue valley manor to anyone who is looking for a place to home and assist a loved one. Overall a great experience!
