I was just at Marjorie House Memory Care Community for a tour. It was very good. They have a very lovely facility there. I quite like it. It is clean and bright. They have gone to great lengths to make it very warm and cozy. They have very high security since it is a total memory care facility, but it's not so obtrusive, so I like that. I think it's a good location. I only talked to one staff member, and she was the administrator. She was very friendly and very helpful. She was full of good ideas and resource tips for other possibilities here in the area. She related her own experience dealing with her mother, so that's always helpful with somebody else's experiences. I saw several rooms and bathing facilities. They are all private rooms. They have a bathroom and each one is consisting of a toilet and a sink. They have at least one shower (or they call them spa) in each hallway. Their capacity is 45, so they're limited to 45 residents. They have a good staff coverage, a good pharmaceutical girl, and a dietitian on staff. I observed an exercise class. The facility is five years old, so most of the administrative staff have been there from the very beginning, and a lot of the staff members have been there for the whole time. It’s lovely. It's in a shape of a triangle, and so the center of the triangle is a courtyard. The layout was very nice. I was very impressed with it.

I called the community to place my mother. It took over a month to get a return call. I missed the call, called right back and am now on week 3 of waiting for a return call. If this is the service you get trying to give them money I can’t imagine what happens once You move in. Worst customer service ever!

The rooms are the perfect size for memory care. They have a full size closet and a large private bathroom. I see all the residents in the activity room participating in fun activities during the day. The staff have been really helpful now that visits have changed and I still feel really involved. I enjoy the Facebook posts and email updates. Marjorie house is taking a lot of precautions to prevent covid from entering the building.

My mother has been so content at Marjorie House. I miss being able to visit with her inside her room or out in their courtyard But they make every effort to keep families connected. They have cellphones and iPads for the residents to communicate with family. We love going to the visiting window so we can see each other in person. I appreciate all their efforts to keep everyone safe during this time.

I moved my mom into Marjorie House about two years ago. I was very nervous to place my mom in a care facility but caring.com lead me to Marjorie House. I thank God every day for them. Every staff member works so hard to keep my mom happy and safe.

Marjorie House was very nice. They have a little bus where they take the residents out within the community so they're not totally isolated from the rest of the environment. They also have social activities within the community and they have an activities director who goes through different activities with the residents.

My father-in-law was in Marjorie House before he passed away. They were excellent, very caring, concerned, and took very good care of him. He had no complaints with the food. They were very interactive with the residents.

We toured Marjorie House, but it wasn't a very good experience. The lady we talked to wasn't enthusiastic, they don't go on outings, and the individual rooms were not good. The main room had a TV and some books on the wall. They could get a better PR person.
