My mother was an independent resident of The Springs at Sunnyview, a sister facility of The Woods, from October 2010 until May 2014, when it became apparent that she required assistance on a day-to-day basis. The transition from one facility to the other was smooth and went without a hitch. The staff at The Woods were ready with her room and immediately took charge of my mother. It made me feel very comfortable and put me at ease. Her stay only lasted about 5 months in assisted living when it became apparent that she needed additional attention, so she was moved to the memory care house. Again, the transition was seamless. In the beginning, because of her condition, it was difficult for her to adapt. However, the staff was patient and caring, and she soon felt very much at ease. I visited my mother a few times each week, and when I entered her building each time, a lot of the residents recognized me and said hello. I became very close to the staff as well. I was able to observe meal times, play times, exercise times, sing-alongs, rest times, and bed times. At special events, my mother, who loved to dance, would be approached by the Director and asked to dance. She loved those times! She always felt that the bands were playing just for her. My mother passed away in March 2016, and right up until that time, there was nothing but love and care for her those 1-1/2 years in memory care. I felt that everyone from maintenance to kitchen staff to care providers to office workers to the Director had special places in their hearts for my mom. Occasionally I stop by The Woods to say "hi" to whomever is working at the time, and it always feels like the first time we met, with enthusiasm and respect. The Woods is definitely a top-notch care facility in my books!

this care home is privately owned, the employees have been there for many years, no bad smells, super clean and extremely caring staff. We removed my father from a corporate care home that was just horrible! He is so well cared for and a home atmosphere.
