My mother-in-law is in Sunnyside Meadows. It is very nice and it's new, and you have to have a code to get in. You go into a wide foyer and it has a receptionist there and you have to sign in and sign out. There are two sections off of one side and two sections off the other that are joined, but separate. They have their own little dining room/snack bar. The people are very friendly and very helpful with everything. The rooms are nicely set up and not too big that it overwhelms somebody, and they can bring their own things there. They have get-togethers, socials and games. They have a 24-hour doctor and nurse, so there's always someone on-site. They have a library and a cafeteria. They were having a little birthday party for someone at the time, and all the residents participated.

My mom has been in Sunnyside Meadows Memory Care for two week. It’s right by my house and just opened up a few months ago, so it’s brand new. They have different people on different shifts, but they want to personalize. They’re really trying to get to know my mom, her routine and schedules, and work things out. I feel they try to treat each resident with dignity and try to know what their path is no matter what stage they’re at of memory loss. She’s eating all her meals. They have a varied menu and activities every day specifically for memory care. They have a bathtub room with a step-in bath and a hair salon. There is a living room area, not hallways with doors, so it feels very accommodating, like a home.

I needed a memory care facility who's administrative staff could be depended on to act on behalf of the residents and the staff who was caring for them first and foremost. I needed to trust them to train , supervise the staff to care for for my family members to keep them safe, clean, treat them with respect and kindness, and be able to provide a level of care including following the doctors orders to keep them comfortable through all levels of care.

My dad moved to Sunnyside Meadows around early September. It's a brand-new facility, he's in an area with 20 people, and they're very well staffed. They have nice, private rooms, which we wanted. It was fairly close to me, and it's of excellent quality, so that's good. He likes the food, and so far, so good. They have crafts and music every day. Once in a while they take them out on a ride for a tour.
