My family member had been moved in for a month when they suffered a major medical event. Was sent back to facility after a short hospital stay. Did not receive meds at appropriate times. Was not checked on or toileted or bathed regularly. I will always feel guilt that we placed family member in this facility where they died. My family member suffered in pain needlessly while Nursing staff made excuses and showed little regard to basic care. This place is a nightmare if you want quality care for your loved ones.

My friend was in Senior Haven under hospice care. The food was terrible. He fell out of bed and he pressed the button, but no one came for 4 and 1/2 hours. The button is just a light that lights up on the outside of his door. If no one is in that hallway, there's no light panel in any kind of office to alert anyone or bell that rings, so that was not good. The other thing was when he first arrived, they never instructed him or unfurl the button that was in his bed and explain to him that if he had an emergency, he could use that button. I saw it furled up on the wall the next day that I went there and I unfurled it myself and hooked it onto his bed. I didn't like the response I got from the people there. The billing was really bad. I think that they owe us money that they're trying to hide in the Excel spreadsheet that's very confusing. Generally, I'm overall not happy. He was only there 10 days, and my overall experience was not good. I didn't have much interaction with the staff. They just came in and left. I had more contact with the administrative staff and I wasn't really happy with them because their billing is very confusing and they charged us for 15 days after he died as if he was still living there. The food was dry and cold when it arrived. He complained about the food. The facility was nice and clean. There wasn't any activity because of Covid, and it was expensive.

My grandmother's husband lived at Senior Haven for the last year of his life. Lena and the staff were wonderful--especially given the fact that my grandmother's husband was not the easiest or nicest person to deal with. They were patient and compassionate and he had all of his needs beautifully met. Thank you, Senior Haven. I highly recommend this place!
