Marie Rose is an excellent facility staffed and managed by quality, caring people. My parents moved to the ALF wing of Marys Wood about 5 months ago from independent living and the transition was relatively smooth and made easier by the kind and warm reception shown by the MR staff after my folks moved in. In room care is consistent, efficient and kind. Meals are served at a resident dining room and are varied and well prepared. There is less choice of menu than the independent living dining room. There are numerous events and activities in house and transportation provided to medical appointments and shopping. The biggest drawback is cost: it is very expensive compared to other facilities in the Portland area. For us, the continuity of facilities, staff and resident friends make the extra investment worth it.
