I went there often to visit my Aunt, she and others were yelling for help, they pushed their call buttons but no one showed up to help, I had to help her and other residents on and off the toilet because no one was around checking on them, they were all visiting at the front desk, one lady was at the desk begging to be taken to the toilet, no one helped her so I did. seems to be no house keeping, I had to buy a toilet brush and cleaner to scrub out the toilet that had poop all over it for days, and the toilet was coming loose from the floor, food containers everywhere, I had to hunt down a few garbage bags to clean up the mess, the few times I did see an assistant they were pleasant but those times were far and few between, all the years I have worked in health care I have never seen such a poor quality of care, being they are pretty much the only facility in town I guess they can get away with not doing their jobs, being short staffed is not a good excuse and you can only use the COVID thing so much, there are agencies that they could call, the state should go unannounced and stay for a week

Precious for Life

Life is more than a room. Life is more than someone who has no experience to take care of you. Employees who do not know the medication they are giving to a person. It is wrong. Life is important and how we handle people who need our help is very important. Feeding them meals that are not bags of potatoe chips and being told that this is their vegetable today. Looking and tasting food that is completely undesirable many days out of the week is not a good life. Food that is salty or to much sugar that is not good for most older persons. Hurts their bodies and their minds. Cheap is not the best way. Wearing gloves is very important during Covid times. This should be done for every person there. Medication should be on time and not 3 or more days out where the resident is in danger without their medication. Everyone smiles while others are dying in my opinion. Money, Money, Money is important I realize but shouldn't the residents get what they pay for. Medication on time, a warm meal that is nourshing and not disgusting, protection from covid by wearing gloves with everything they handle, clean rooms, help and compassion not threats. How afraid do you want your family to be that is the question. How much care do you want for them. Do you really Care?

At Wildflower Lodge, the facilities were clean. It was a short visit. The people were participating; they were laughing and joking. The place was clean, and there was a northwest feel to it.

We went to Wildflower Lodge for a tour of the facility. My mom and I had some support group meetings there. It seemed like a larger place compared to the other facility that we visited. It had more residents too. The building itself was newer and had some bright and airy rooms. It also had a dining room, which was nice and great. The staff that took us on a tour was kind and informative. It was a good fit for some people but not for my dad. He is not able to move around from place to place because he has Parkinson's. He would have had to stay in his room most of the time in this facility. On the other hand, my mother knows some people who live there. Actually, my uncle is living there now.

Wildflower Lodge is a facility that accepts assisted care, transitional patients, and memory care and I like that because they would get to know people in their assisted living and should they need further care then they would still be in a very familiar surroundings and also know some of the people. It's very well taken care of and very pretty. Their staff is very helpful. I didn’t eat there, but I know a few residents and they enjoy the food. I know that they have bus trips out into the community for activities.
