We didn't care for The Woods at Willowcreek. The bathroom and windows were not particularly clean. The Formica had places where it was chipped, and there was a sharp corner on the edge of the sink. It just didn’t seem like a good place. The staff was very nice and the person who showed us around was very pleasant. We didn't stay very long since we weren't happy with the accommodations. I just don't think the place was satisfactory. It should have been cleaner. They said the room they showed us had a nice view, but the view was of the parking lot and the window was dirty.

Mom has only been at The Woods at Willowcreek for about a year and a half now. It's a little different because the food is prepared in one of the other buildings and they bring a cart over and set the dining room up. There's only about a dozen people that live in that building. They took her electric wheelchair away from her because she was causing problems with it. She parked her chair next to the wall and when she tried to get out of there, she gouged big holes into the wall of her room. Then she got into places in the dining room where she couldn't get out of, so they took it away from her. She doesn't get around very good with a walker in her own room, but that's what she's got. The dining area is like a big living room. When it's not being used as a dining area, it's got tables and chairs, and the residents play cards and that type of thing. It's open, and there's a fireplace at the one end of it where the couches and the TV are. It's like a common room. There is a small kitchen, but it's not used to prepare hot food. They have drinks and fruits. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They're always clean and it's a multi-building facility, which are all one level. They do the exercises in the dining area. It's a pretty nice place.

The Woods at Willowcreek was very clean and the people were very nice. It tends to be more for memory care. The residents were in the gathering area and people were coming in and out, picking up an orange or an apple, or going out to sit on the deck with friends. It had a very friendly and homey atmosphere. The grounds were gorgeous. They had maintenance people clipping hedges, cleaning, and getting ready for the summer. The location was good, it was easy to find. It's close to a shopping area if you want to go to the store. The lady I spoke to was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about what they could and could not do, which was wonderful.

The Woods at Willowcreek was small and relatively inexpensive. It was very well staffed and everyone appeared friendly. The atmosphere was fine, the rooms were of a good size for one person, and the grounds were clean.

If you are looking for a nice, homey setting with truly caring, loving staff, this is the place for you. They are so patient with their residents, provide excellent care and activities, and work closely with you to make sure your loved one's needs are met. I could not have been happier to have found this facility and to have my mom live there.
