What we liked about Redwood Heights Assisted Living is that the people are very friendly and the main area is very bright, airy, and open. There's lots of natural light, which really appealed to us. My mother is very social, and so people who are being very friendly would appeal to her. Seeing that there were people playing cards, playing bingo, and doing all kinds of things, I knew that would really help her get adjusted quickly. The staff seems to be doing a great job. Other than socialization, our main concern was medication management, and they seemed to be doing a great job of staying on top of her meds and making sure she gets everything taken at the appropriate time. They have a good menu, too. The food that they give her is more than sufficient. I just wished all of the rooms were close to the common area. They have three long wings and we had to be careful on what room we chose for my mom, because she can't walk very far. The day we arrived at the facility, the residents were racing cars that they'd made from the second story down to the first story. They were having a blast doing that. They also have a little garden area for those who want to do gardening, a library, a craft room, and little field trips to Walmart. I think once a week, they'll take them to doctor appointments as well. So, it seems like during the daytime, there's always something going on. They're a little bit more expensive, but it is worth the money.

We have moved into Redwood Heights. It's outstanding. It's very good. They're excellent. The staff is great. The food is good. We haven't been here really long enough to get all the activities, but there are exercise classes, trips, and walks. A lot of them I can't participate in because I don't walk anymore. I have to use a wheelchair. It is available if you want to. There are exercise rooms. We are in a very spacious room. There is a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom on the opposite side, and then in the middle is a little kitchenette. There is no stove, but there is a refrigerator, and there is lots of storage. You can get food at any time of the day. If you get hungry, they're very good about helping you out. The staff that we have dealt with have been more than willing to help us do things. Like my daughter has just come back from the grocery store, but we couldn't go out. They put my groceries on a cart, wheel them down to my room, and put them away for us. The food has been excellent. There are three meals a day. They serve them in my room. Sometimes it's a little late. I'm diabetic and I have to keep a schedule. They could be served just a little bit sooner, but they're working their tail off. The facility is well kept. It appears to be new. Any assisted living is expensive and we're at the bottom of the scale right now where we mostly take care of ourselves, but we need a little bit of help.

The staff at Redwood Heights Assisted Living was very friendly and very helpful, but they had a lot of issues with my husband's medication. The community was very pleasant and clean. They provided him with a place to spend his last days since I couldn't care for him. His room there was excellent, it was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was excellent.

I liked Redwood Heights. It's older but very nice and had a nice patio where my wife can go out and sit. However, it had a steep incline getting to it, and the only way to get out of there is to use a vehicle. The staff was outstanding, sociable, kind, and answered all my questions.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful at Redwood Heights. They answered all of my questions without hesitation and did it with a smile. Several of the nurses were happy to show my family around and talk about the way they ran things. They even introduced us to some of the people already living there, it felt like a family environment. The rooms looked very clean and inviting, much more welcoming than the sterile hospital feel I've experienced at other facilities. The courtyard was well taken care of and bursting with spring colors, I was really surprised and I could see my grandmother very happy relaxing there when the weather was warmer. However, the negatives included some foul odors in the common area and a woman who was having a sort of loud tantrum in the middle of the hallway. But my great aunt has been there for a year now and those problems have apparently been sorted out. It i very peaceful and she tells us she really gets the attention she needs.

All of the staff is very nice, and my mother claims they take excellent care of her. She claims there are many ways to entertain one's self such as reading in their library, eating in their dining hall, or lounging in your room. According to her the place is very quiet at night which makes her a bit uncomfortable. There was this once incident were my mother had fallen, she couldn't get any help and it took over an hour before the staff found her. That is why I am giving Redwood Heights only four stars. Sometimes they have events in the dining hall such as a ballet recital for young children. This usually only occurs once a year, but the residents love to watch them perform. All in all I recommend Redwood Heights if you are looking for an assisted living facility. My mother speaks highly of Redwood Heights and I do too.

The facility is clean and well-maintained. Staff was friendly and caring. They were very nice to my grandmother, helped her do many things, but, most importantly, helped keep her spirits up. The facility is easy to find, lots of parking, and they have dollys and other moving equipment to help you move in or out. The rooms are generous. My grandmother lived in a studio, which was plenty big, had lots of storage, and a huge bathroom. There was plenty of room to move around in a wheelchair, if needed. The have a required medication dispensing by staff, which was prompt. However, my only complaint is when my grandmother was out one night (the only night she stayed out until dark, which was about eight o'clock), she missed her medication dispensing, and had to stay up later to wait for someone to give her the medication. However, I would recommend the facility, it was always nice to visit, and it felt like home.
