This place is terrible, they can't keep staff, last night my mother didn't get her dinner!!....Housekeeping services are terrible. Don't send ur loved ones here. The place was great when we did our initial walk through, but after that...it went downhill

I had a limited tour of Gibson Creek by Bonaventure. It was just an exterior visitation, and I was able to see a room from an outside window. It looked OK. It was old and not as upscale as some other places, but they did not charge the rates either. The staff was OK; they were very cordial.

The regional manager is utterly inapt interests in attire that is Completely inappropriate. She spoke to me in an inappropriate manor and the staff acted as if my grandpa wasn't even there when they were supposed to be watching him because he was having health complications. We found my grandpa on the floor on multiple occasions and I think this place should be healed accountable for their negligence.

Just don't do it. My mother lived at Gibson Creek for almost 2 years. The food was horrible, management is worse. Turnover of management staff is the worst I have seen anywhere in business. No continuity of staffing to assist with issues. I ended up reporting them to Senior protective services. Hospice as well had to talk to management once about the condition of mom's room (smell of urine untrained staff would spill on the carpet when emptying her catheter.) After that conversation someone was sent to mom's room with a carpet shampooer at 10PM to clean her carpet. While my mother was actively dying, the facility didn't bother to call and let me know something was happening, the hospice nurse called and asked had anyone called me from Gibson Creek. The answer was no, the hospice nurse informed me mom was "actively dying", I live only 2 miles from the place and have been there at a min. of 5 days a week for the last year, and they didn't bother to call me. Thankful to Hospice nurse Toni for giving me the chance to be with my mom during this time. Sadly, Mom passed about 30 minutes before transportation arrived to move her to a better facility. There's more, urine would be emptied into a bucket, then dumped in the toilet, without rinsing out the bucket, it would be placed in the sink, where no one could wash their hands. I have walked in to find feces on... the carpet, bedside commode handles, her pull bar and her hands. Staff told me mom was lucky to have me to advocate for her, because many people there don't, and suffer through the same issues without anyone caring.

My husband was at Gibson Creek. It was terrible. The staff was OK. The room was clean. He had a room for bed, dresser, chair, the restroom and the little kitchen area. Food was terrible.

Family is happy
My mother has lived at Gibson Creek for four years. The staff are wonderful and very caring. I could not be happier with the community.

My dad is at Gibson Creek. It is great. The people are really nice. It is a little expensive, but my dad is getting the care he needs. The room is really nice, and the bathroom is adequate for what he needs. The dining room is really nice, and he seems happy with the food. Also they would bring him shopping, and they would bring him to places. The facility is well kept, and the staff is very friendly.

Always welcomed by warm, loving staff and residents. I always see how happy they are at Gibson Creek. I visit several facilities as a mental health RN. Gibson Creek is by far my favorite place to visit. They are at the top of my list to recommend.

My mother-in-law hasn't been at Gibson Creek all that long, but it seems like they are very nice. It is a small facility. They do trips and things, but they don't have the kind of activity level as the place she was living in before. This place just doesn't have a lot going on. Regarding the food, I have heard no complaints about that. The best thing about this place is that it is a nice facility and that it is very close to us.

The facility seemed a little out of the way, first of all. It was quite a drive just to get out there which would be inconvenient with us wanting to visit my grandmother every other day. The staff seemed nice enough, although I did notice that during lunch, all of the caregivers also doubled as food servers. I'm sure it's legit and all but if they are incapable of hiring a full kitchen staff and are instead just using the staff they have to cut ends, what other ends are they "cutting" .The male cook seemed very professional. Another thing about the caregiving staff is that they all seemed a bit unprofessional and underqualified to be caring for the elderly. The cottages that were available were meteocre; nothing special or significant about them. There was a recreational room with a Nintendo wii, pool table, television, etc. Overall, the facility in general, was small with unprofessional staff, average amenities, and an inconvenient location for visitors.
