My mother-in-law has found placement in River Grove Memory Care, and so far, it's been great. It's clean, everyone's friendly and pleasant, and the staff is helpful. The rooms are clean and functional. The residents went to the nursery, they made cinnamon rolls, and they have live music every night for dinner.

My wife moved into River Grove Memory Care, and she's doing quite well. They have been absolutely excellent. I'm having more trouble with it than my wife is, she's adapting very well. I've been able to have window visits with her daily, they have an outside pagoda where we have been able to sit outside together with a plexi glass between us, and then next week I get to go inside and sit in her room with her. They have activities, but my wife has not participated in much of it, although they had a day there where they had some children and some ponies come out in the parking lot. They were able to go outside and walk around them keeping their distance, and that was good. The staff has been absolutely wonderful, and I smelled their chicken and dumplings the other day, and I wanted to stay for dinner.

I visited River Grove Memory Care, and I thought it was quite good. The woman who gave me the tour was quite good and she's been at it for quite a few years. She talked to me about the place, she went over the cost and everything. Of the places I've looked at, this one wasn't as interesting. The building is divided into sections, and they were remodeling. I looked at the sections being remodeled, it looked good, but I wasn't really that impressed. I was a bit concerned about the number of people on wheelchairs. They seem to be talkative towards the person giving me the tour. I didn't like the fact that each room did not have its own bathroom or toilet, so you have to go into the hallway about three to four shared rooms away. The cost was also not significantly different from the others. The flooring is interesting to me. It looks kind of woody I guess because they don't want the residents to trip. The place looks neat and clean, and I like that the residents seem alert and awake. They were doing activities in the big room.

I am the Power of Attorney for a dear friend who experienced a severe fall and has some memory loss issues. She has no family in the area and needed a safe place to live. River Grove was recommended by the rehab facility where she was recuperating from the fall. I was skeptical and highly concerned about the best next steps for my friend. I spoke with Nicole W., the Community Relations Director, and scheduled a visit. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and lovely the grounds and homes were. It was bright and cheery and I became very excited that a unit was available for my friend. It has been a difficult transition for my friend to lose her independence. The staff at River Grove has been kind and embracing to her. The caregivers in her house are compassionate and patient. We were able to bring many of her personal belongs to create a homey atmosphere. River Grove has accommodated special meal requests and gone above and beyond to help my friend through this challenging time. My expectations have been exceeded and I am so grateful for this beautiful place where my friend can be safe and so well cared for. I highly recommend River Grove!
