If your love one is fragile medically, this is not the place for you. Please consider all your other options before sending them here. My Mom spent 6 days here, her health declined so rapidly that she had to be rushed to ICU at OSHU hospital. Marquis staff ignored her, at one point she was left alone in the shower and the food was nearly edible.
This story didn't end well.... please I beg you do not send your love one here.

I was here for about 10 days. Most of the cma staff was great. Thoughtful and helpful. Most of the therapy staff as well. However, having to wait for s pain medication for over an hour on multiple occasions in the evenings is uncalled for.m the bed was seldom straightened or changed. Waiting for assistance that I was supposed to received in getting up and using facilities when I first arrived was essentially non existent and I gave up attending to these things myself. And finally, the food was very close to inedible. Thankfully I could advocate for myself. Not sure what happens to those who can't.

My first choice would have been Marquis. I really liked their director. She had an all around holistic approach that I appreciate. It would have been a good place. The building wasn’t as new. The rooms were smaller and darker; but what I liked best about them was their care approach, and the staff’s attitude.

My experience with the Marquis Wilsonville has been very positive. All the people there are extremely respectful to each individual resident and to their family members. They try to engage each resident to an extent that is welcoming and responsive without being pushy.
Family caregivers need to know that their loved ones are not in prison, nor should be. This is not the old days where those with dementia and/or motor skill challenges were misunderstood and rigidly confined.
My experience with my husband who has an early onset degenerative brain disease, is that his quality of life is directly related to feeling like a whole person and treated as if he has some semblance of independence. The Marquis does a wonderful job ensuring this, while doing the best they can to look after his care.
If people are looking for a 24-hour observation & nursing care facility, their loved one probably needs to be in a hospital or designated full-time nursing home (or hospice if end-of life is anticipated). There are no guarantees in life; the best this caregiver (me) can do is work to find a place that provides the best fit for my husband's nature and condition.
It is not inexpensive. Neither is it an elder-care country club for those with unlimited resources, which may not even be suitable to the individual's personality. However, it is clearly the best local fit for our situation at this time.
What the Marquis Wilsonville does, it does very well! I am very grateful for the respite for me, and the quality of non-obtrusive yet attentive care and sense of dignity they provide my husband. Thank you one and all!

my dad has received the best care from some of the most dedicated people. They treated me as good as they treated my father. I would like to commend them for their dedication and professional attitude towards everyone of my family members and the other people recovering from miscellaneous illnesses.
I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone wanting excellent care for family members.
Sincerely and respectfully,

I am greatly concerned, for my mother was a resident for several months and fell. She entered this faculty to recover from weakness from a hospital stay and aquired pneumonia and had to return to the hospital. Then she came back to the Marquis. She was getting more and more down and sad the more she stayed there. The fall caused us to lose her. The Marquis staff did not do their job. She needed 24 hr care according to the therapists there. Had some dementia, So coming home was not an option unless there was 24hr care. She was left and alone and she fell. Where was her 24 hr care? Are they short staffed? If she needed more than she should have recieved it until she was moved. She was not getting the care she deserved. Staff who worked with her alot also do not seem to care that this happened. Just one came to say she was sorry when we had to pack up her room. Complete sadness over took us when we felt this from the place she had been at. We were going to move her to a nice place closer to home this month but now that plan is canceled. We are hurting so much by the fact that our Mother was at a place she felt so uncared about.
