I toured Farmington Square - Gresham and I think for the price, the rooms were a little underwhelming and seemed a little dated. I know that they are upgrading, but for the same price, they seem a bit small and do not have as much accommodations or extras that other places have, but the person I talked to was very nice and very knowledgeable. I didn't see many amenities offered. I just saw that they had a common room that you could watch TV in and a laundry facility, but what I liked about the place was the separate buildings. They have a smaller community in each building rather than in one large one.

We just moved our loved one into Farmington Square and so far it has been a smooth transition. The room accommodates everything that my sister needs to be comfortable, and from the first day, she has nothing but good things to say about the staff, residents, and the facility. It feels like a good fit for her needs, and a good fit for Farmington Square as well. I like the fact that there are separate buildings and that they are all on one level. It feels like a small community that is just the right size. There is a patio outside her window for potted plants. From our first phone calls, all of our questions were answered and followed up on. I would highly recommend Farmington Square.

We chose Farmington Square - Gresham for my mother-in-law. It had what we were looking for and we're very pleased with it. It didn't seem like it was an institution. I liked the fact that they were little communities and they were allowed to roam around within that one building. It just seemed like it was more homey. The staff was very friendly and I really liked the marketing lady since she was very kind and called me several times. They have outings and different things during the day like exercise, games, and people coming in to entertain them. The facility itself was beautiful and I loved it.

My father-in law was in Farmington Square for a month on respite care. We had a lot of concerns, and he ended up going to the ER for dehydration. It seemed they were not taking care of him. When he left, they couldn't find all his prescriptions. However, the rooms were nice, clean, and updated.

Farmington Square was nice. The rooms seemed a little darker. There wasn't a lot of natural light in the room. They had a configured program that they could use. They offered classes, and they did tours too. The one thing that was difficult about it was that things were separated out. It had four smaller buildings.

We had to put an Aunt in the home after a few years of trying to stay home after a stroke. From Day one we had a good experience with the entire staff. The premises were always kept nice and they took care of our family member as if it was their own family member. I would encourage anyone to look into this facility. I enjoyed visiting my Aunt during her stay. Thank you Farmington Square for always taking care of our family member and always staying in touch when she needed extra care, etc.

My friend is living at Farmington Square Gresham. It's good. They went out to lunch and had a bingo game today; yesterday they had a birthday party for a bunch of people. They have outings and arts and crafts. There's a little area to walk in for the memory care people. Everything seems clean and tidy. I think the food is adequate. What impressed me is the fact that the caretakers have been there a long time, so they know the residents.

As I write this today, it has been nearly two months since my mother passed away in the loving care of the staff at Farmington Square. Mom lived at this facility for nearly a year. The care she received was exceptional throughout that period. In her final days, while receiving hospice care, my three siblings, and other close relatives pretty much camped out to be with Mom. That is not exceptional. Families try to be there for their loved one. What was extraordinary was what we witnessed as the staff went about their business. The care provided for our Mom was exceptional. Their respect for our family was appreciated. But the love they showed to our Mom was just remarkable. Every day, more times than we can count, off-duty staff members stopped by to ask if they could spend a few minutes with Mom. They would hold her hand, whisper in her ear, kiss her forehead and tell us a little story about what they enjoyed about our Mom. We stood by our Mom's bedside for six days. Many times every day, at the start of their shifts, at the end of their shifts, staff would stop by. People who used to work in Mom's building, but now worked in another building would stop by. Even one person who no longer worked for FS, but had heard from another staff member that our Mom was in hospice. One staff member stayed two hours after her shift ended - just to talk with us about our Mom. That is no accident - this steady stream of wonderful people. To us, it was a testament to the quality, caring individuals that are attracted to work for, and who are hired to staff Farmington Square. We never had any doubts about the attention and quality of care while Mom lived at Farmington Square. But in the last days of her life, we witnessed a display of genuine affection for our Mom that was unexpected and extremely comforting.

I loved the experience at Farmington. They have four separate living areas and small dining rooms. The rooms were small but adequate. There were not that many activities, though they do have some games and things like that.

My dad is at Farmington Square Gresham. He has a studio apartment. The people there are very caring. He has been there for about a month and a half. I've tasted their food, and it's very good. They have different activities like music, bingo, and many more.

We just moved our mother here two weeks ago and everyone has been so accommodating and helpful. This was very hard for us as a family but the director really helped ease our concerns and is very knowledgeable. The employees are very friendly, helpful ad make us feel like we are family.

I'm not satisfied with what they deliver. It's a hassle trying to get them to bathe my husband, trying to get them to make sure he gets his teeth brushed, things that I am paying for. There are cottages on the property, and the corporation that owns this place needs to put more people to work. My husband has been diagnosed with MS, and he is not a high maintenance person if they were to do the care properly and do it right. I get substandard care for him, and they don't like me because I'm a bulldog. The lady that signed me up and talked me into coming in Farmington Square made all kinds of promises. She told me there would be a hospital bed in the room, that the room would be painted and clean, and that the cable TV would be hooked up. He was admitted on mid-January, and there was no bed in the room, nothing had been cleaned, nothing had been painted, and there was no cable TV. There are some good things. They take them on a weekly outing, and the food is nutritious and flavorful. The staff for the most part is friendly and nice. He can go to bed when he wants to go to bed.

The staff at Farmington Square Gresham was very good about helping us trying to transition our mother in, but mom was very resistant to going, but we are still hoping to get her in. I like that they have smaller units where they would get to know a smaller number of people at one time. It might not be so overwhelming. They allowed pets and that was a big positive thing for mom. I didn’t eat there so I'm not sure about their food but their dining facility was very nice and very home like.

Where do I begin? Farmington Square Gresham might not have all of the amenities as some of the newer facilities out there, but they make up for it in so many ways. I visited many facilities and had not felt the compassion the staff have for residents the same way I did here. Not only the care staff, but the management as well. Upon moving in, I was a little dispointed with the lack of follow through with the activities. There were activities planned but they wouldn't happen. It was a little diapointing, but the management made changes and now there are daily activities that actually occur. A little over a year later, my father is happier than he has been in a very long time and I know that is because he is living at Farmington Square Gresham. I know moving my father in here was the right decision. I know he is very well taken care of, and I see that he is well taken care of.
