Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care was smaller and provided true assisted living with nurses on floors and nurses available 24 hours. The person who did the tour was well-informed and understood what the care issues were. It was probably the nicest place I've seen.

Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care was an excellent facility. They have all of the amenities anyone could probably ask for in an assisted living. It was highly recommended and that's where we're going to be moving my sister in. We talked to several of the residents and they all pretty much gave a positive review about the place and that they liked being there. They have a wonderful courtyard and access to the outside. It's bright, cheery, and clean. It's a fairly new facility so all of the apartments were up to date. It's excellent all the way around. They were very open to whatever we wanted to ask and very thorough on the tour. They didn't leave anything out. The food we had was good.

My husband was in Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living for a couple of days, and I had to take him out. The place is highly over-rated, and they misrepresent the whole thing. He had a tiny room like a jail cell. I was told they would find him a double bed because that's what he needed. It turned out that the room was too tight and he can hardly get through areas like his locker. They have shared bathrooms which I didn't feel comfortable with, nor did the help appear as quickly as they do in the other community. This place is very disappointing. It was close to my house, which I liked, but I couldn't put him there. He might as well have gone to jail. I don't think they had adequate trained help. Now that I see how it can be in his new community, it was not the place to be. The staff is very friendly but not well-trained. I don't want the staff to look bad, but they were not adequate. The building was OK. I don't think their night shift was well-serviced because people were just roaming around.

My friend is on a waiting list at Mt. Bachelor to place her husband. The staff was very helpful, and I am acquainted with their manager. The rooms were spacious and roomy. The dining room looked good and clean. They have very individualized activities which was good. What is like best is their individual approach to care. The place was safe and secured.
