Green Tree Reflections Memory Care Residence

Dedication to Service

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or other memory impairments is a very personal, loving dedication to service. It requires service for specific and individual needs.

More often, the resident with memory loss needs assistance with life's daily activities including personal care but may not have an acute medical condition requiring around the clock skilled nursing or instruction. Finding that unique combination of physical setting and specialized care is a journey traveled by many families.

The Reflections Program

At Reflections, our trained staff works closely with family members and friends to assemble a "Life History" identifying the personal experiences of each resident's life.

Through the "Life History," we get to know the personality behind the person, fostering a one-to-one association more like "friend to friend" rather than "staff to patient." Details and events from your loved one's past become "shared" memories and experiences serving as a foundation for activities, communication, and the development of friendships built on support, understanding and mutual respect.

Base Monthly Services
  • Laundry Services - personal and linen
  • Housekeeping
  • 24 hour-a-day specially trained staff

  • Individualized service planning

I had a friend at Green Tree. It was very, very nice there. I interacted with the staff just a bit and they were very nice and very helpful as far as directing visitors and helping us to understand schedules and things. My friend liked the staff very much. They had plenty of activities. My friend really liked their activities. She was very much into little things that they did. I had to call ahead to make sure she was going to be in her room. Her room was lovely, and it was a private room. It was like a studio where you can see the sink and all of that. It is all in one room. It was very nicely appointed, clean, well-lit, and very conveniently arranged. It was arranged so that someone who was still mobile could use it, but should she need to use a wheelchair, she could be comfortable in that room, too. The common area was very nice, too. She was very happy there, and it was lovely.

Green Tree was a nice facility. They just didn't have any openings on the bottom floor and with my in-laws' mobility issues, they can't be up on a higher floor. I also didn't like the fact that they have to go to the cafeteria to eat their meals. They shouldn't be forced to go down because it's lunchtime, but they had a little kitchenette in there. I even questioned them on it, "What if they decide they don't want to go down and eat?" She said if they're not doing well, they can bring them food. I said, "There are times you just want to stay home and eat in the comfort of your own home," and she said, "We'd have to start charging for that," so I didn't appreciate that. It's expensive enough and to force them to have to go down to the cafeteria, I don't approve of that. They're paying their money to live there and to be provided for, but they should have the option of eating in the cafeteria or eating in their room because three meals a day down in their cafeteria, there's no way my in-laws would do that. They would start skipping meals and that's the last thing you want. Everybody was very nice, very polite, very courteous, very helpful. It was a very nice facility, and they do fire drills. Every month, they would be getting them up in the middle of the night or the middle afternoon. Because of their mobility issues, it prohibits them from being upstairs. They have to have an elevator to be able to access the upstairs. They can't go up and down the stairs. It's a nice location though. They have walking trails out back and little raised flower beds for them to be able to plant. The staff was all right there. It didn't seem like you had to hunt for anybody. Somebody was always walking through or not too far away.

We chose Green Tree because it was less than a mile from my dad's house and he liked the homey feel to it. So far, he really likes it. Everybody is always friendly and warm, they know who you are, and they've been very attentive. The food is great. He has actually put on about ten or 15 pounds since moving there. It's very clean, well lit, and it's a real positive place. I'm glad that he's there. They have a lot of activities and he's actually participating in some of it. It's kind of costly, but you get what you pay for.

This place is amazing. I toured 5 different assisted living communities before I finally chose green tree for my mom 3 months ago. Green Tree is actually the farthest facility from my house but it is worth the drive to know that my mom is being cared for and is happy. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Every single one of the staff has been so helpful with this difficult transition that my mom has had to make. I got a call from the nurse at green tree the other day and ask if I wanted to come in and have a care meeting about my mom. I ofcourse was worried that something bad had happened so I replied with "no just tell me over the phone what happened"! The nurse kindly let me know that nothing had happened. It is just that she likes to do a meeting with all of her residents families, one on one, every few months. I thought that was nice of her but I was still a bit hesitant. When I got to the meeting I met with the director and the nurse. They told me that they had seen a huge improvement in my moms memory since she moved in and let me know that her bill was going down. What!!! It's going to be cheaper?!?! I was very excited to hear this, thankful for their communication and couldn't agree more that we have seen a huge change, for the positive, since mom moved in!! I am very thankful for green tree and their amazing staff!!

Green Tree probably has the nicest Alzheimer’s unit, but it definitely was smaller. Because I know lots of people who live there, I would think that if you don’t have somebody seeing about you, it would not be some place that you wanted to be. If you have somebody who is dropping in every day, that is one thing. I think that is kind of true of the staff in all of them. The staff is not good unless you have somebody coming to see about you every day, especially because the weekend staff is not terrific. It was clean. I live closer to this one, but I would not go because the rooms were very tiny, and my bedroom is bigger than the whole thing. The rooms have a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a living area, and all of that was just so cramped together. I always ask about the staff, and they have a big turnover of staff.

I can't say enough good things about Green Tree. They are extremely helpful. It's been extremely positive on their end. My parents are having some adjustment issues, but the staff has been wonderful. They have a dining room, and everybody has their own apartment. They provide three meals per day. They have physical activities like morning stretches, and they have social events almost on a daily basis. They have entertainment, movie nights, and music sometimes coming in. They monitor their medication; that's really important to me.

My mom has been a resident at Greentree for two years. It is a beautiful facility with a beautiful view of the hills. The downside is the staff has a high turnover rate. If you are looking for gourmet meals, this is not your place. The food is mostly of poor quality, with lots of rice and green beans served because they are cheap. Residents complain daily but nothing changes. My mom buys groceries to fix her own mini meals very frequently. The chef recently told soe residents that he is given a budget of $5 per DAY per resident to buy food! In addition, rates go up 6% annually. That calculated to $200 more monthly for us. You are also charged $300 a month for them to administer meds. Not worth it. My mom did not receive her blood pressure pill for several days recently! They aso gave her another patient's anti anxiety pill several months ago and did not even call to tell me of the mix up! I am currently in search of different living arrangements for my mom. This place is beautiful, but not worth the money.

My mom is currently living with me and we're now taking care of her living arrangements. We do have one that's close to me that we visited, The Green Tree. We're interested and if we decide to do that we'll move her there. It's about half a mile from my home. It's a relatively new facility. It's very, very nice. The staff is very friendly. They have really nice rooms and it's in a nice location. It's really perfect! We really liked it. Everyone we spoke to just spoke so highly of the facility. They were all very pleased and there were people that have been there since they opened the facility for about less than 10 years. The facility is relatively new. If ever my mom will be placed there I think she would be happy to be in that community. I'd be happy to recommend Green Tree of Sand Springs to others.

Green Tree at Sand Springs is in Sand Springs, where we happened to have a trip planned. So while we were out there, we visited this facility as a living option for my friend. The adjacent meadows were quiet and peaceful, providing a park-like atmosphere. The nearby Coyote Trail Hills provide a nice walking path that the seniors can use with staff. They do offer memory care which we are interested in since my friend has some of those issues -- though he is mostly just forgetful. Still it is nice to know they can accommodate that, should his mental capacity deteriorate. The interior is really elegantly designed which was refreshing to see, since most of the places we've been feature early American and colonial style furnishings. You can also see the beautiful wooded hills through many of the expansive windows. It is quite picturesque- which adds to the overall tranquility of the environment. The residents enjoy regular outings for shopping, entertainment and cultural events. The dining rooms were very pretty and the food presented well. It is clear that the chef is prideful of his creations. If residents prefer, they may order room service to their apartments. There is plenty of food to choose from off of the cafe menu, as well. The residents we saw all looked very happy to be living in this environment and some even took the time to tell us so. Definitely a five star facility!
