My husband stayed at Covenant Living at Inverness and got some skilled nursing. He was a patient there. He got nursing care, physical therapy, and speech therapy there. I was able to come out there any time; there were no visiting hours. I was able to stay with him each night, and they also allowed me to eat meals with him like lunch and dinner. The least we liked about it was that sometimes we had to wait for a nurse to come if we needed something. Sometimes they would get busy, and it would take a while to come and help us. But other than that, it was a very nice place.
The staff were very attentive. They were very nice and very pleasant and always willing to help my husband with anything. I was able to have several meals there with him, and the food was very good and very delicious. Breakfast was usually a choice of biscuits and gravy or eggs any way you wanted. Lunch was sometimes grilled chicken with rice and a vegetable. The desserts were really good. It was like cheesecake or a pie for dessert. He was able to get flavored water, tea, coffee, or juice for breakfast. For dinner sometimes it was baked fish, some type of steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy. It was very good.
My husband's room was very nice. He had a closet and a dresser to keep his clothes in. He had a bathroom and a sink. There was no shower. Down the hall, there's a shower room. When he wanted to take a shower, they would take him down to the shower room. They had kind of a schedule for showers. On certain days of the week, he could have a shower. There is one window in his room. There was a nice reclining chair. If he didn't want to be in the bed all the time, he could use his reclining chair. There's plenty of light in the room. Medicare paid for his time there.

My mother was a resident of long term care and was treated horribly. She was allowed to fall and get injured 4 times even with 24 hour “care”. She had a few wonderful caregivers but the vast majority provided by Incare were uncaring and untrained. I regret that my mother ever spent time in this facility. My mother had dementia and was treated with little respect. Please do a great deal of research before placing your loved ones. Don’t believe the marketing.

I had heard good things about Inverness. I made sure they would allow residents to have overnight guests before we put my mother there. Mom was there less than 48 hrs when they changed the policy. Now we are forced to consider moving her again because of this policy.

Inverness Village was a very nice place, but they ended up turning us down because they felt like my husband had a little bit too high level of care for their facility. I didn’t see anything that I thought they could improve on. It was a very nice facility. The room might be just a tad smaller than I would have liked, but it was still a very nice room.

My mother was at Inverness for 48 hours before I had to remove her myself and take her to the ER for congestive heart failure due to the refusal of the one and only nurse on duty to administer her Lasix medication. I told the nurse my mother was retaining fluid and having trouble breathing and her medication was vital. She called the doctor who said he would see my mom next week,
she would have died by then. She was readmitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. The hospital doctor didn't understand why Inverness didn't contact him. This place is nothing more than a decorated sub-par nursing home. We were told they were a skilled rehab center. NOT SO. They have no protocol to deal with patient medical issues, other than to say, "She can see a doctor next week."

I visited Inverness Village for my grandmother. It was a very pretty decent place. They have a really pretty courtyard and they also have a beauty salon inside. Their rooms are very nice and clean. They are updated. The rooms themselves are more like apartments. Everybody was very friendly and so was the staff. There are a lot of different things for people to do in this facility, like game nights and exercises. The only thing I could think of that they need to improve on is their outdated lobby appearance.

Inverness village is a good facilty where my father-in-law lives. The facility is attractive and care is very good. His only complaint is the quality of food; yet he is contented there. Regular swiming classes and other phisical activites are encourged. My wife visits the home at least once and week and myself at least once a month. They have 24 hour care for emergency's and even have special wards for the patients that need 24 hour care. They staff is excellent and friendly to both resident and visitors.
