My wife has moved into Brookdale Tulsa 71 st and Sheridan. It looked very good, and it was clean. Everybody seemed nice; the staff and everybody else was friendly. The staff seem to know what everybody was doing. I didn't see her room, but my understanding is, she has a large, shared room.
The residents were just kind of sitting around in the dayroom, where some of them were watching TV, and some weren't. The facility is very clean. They have a large dining area. It accommodates the staff and everything, all of the patients at one time. This area was large, with a lot of tables and chairs. The staff was all very accommodating. I got there after lunch, so everybody was just sitting around and taking it easy.

The care that Brookdale Tulsa was able to provide for my mom that she needed was probably the best that I could find on such short notice. She's in a very nice room, a single room with a bed, dresser, a television, and a nice restroom.
She said sometimes she gets too much food, but that's because she's not used to eating three meals a day. They have outings and a physical recreational person. They have a one-on-one person that kind of sits with her since my mother has dementia.
She's in memory care and what I've seen about safety seems to be very good. They have a very secure area for her and safety measures in place where she cannot get away.

My dad moved into Brookdale Tulsa 71st and Sheridan's memory care a month ago. It's clean and they are all good. They're all nice and easy to work with on my end and on his end too. The staff has all been good to work with and very helpful. His room and the facility itself were nice and clean. It's in a good location and easily accessible. He has participated in their activities. I told them to make sure he's included in any of it cause I'm not there during the day. They do exercise and other different things like it. They also take him out in the courtyard.

My mother-in-law functions at a higher level than the rest of the people at Brookdale Tulsa 71st and Sheridan. It is truly a memory assistance center for people who have full-blown Alzheimer's. They are ambulatory, but they just wander around. It's clean. Many of them were using walkers or canes, so the amount of furniture that's in the common areas was limited so that they wouldn't trip over anything. I was also impressed that there are always two nurses on each shift. The gentleman who is the administrator of the facility is a former registered nurse and he's very personable. I was impressed with that facility. They're very mindful of not letting the residents get out and wander off. They're security conscious. They did have some outdoor spaces where people could go and sit, but they were very carefully controlled as far as the ability to not let them just wander off and get lost. It's a smaller facility. The rooms were a nice size, and surprisingly large and clean.

My husband is at Brookdale. It's very homey. He has a small apartment with his own furniture and his own artwork. That seems to help him feel more at home. He is adjusting well, and seems to be receiving very good care, and I'm pleased with it so far. The staff is very accommodating, and they don't push him to do anything. They guide him, make suggestions, and let him make his own decision. They have a scheduled activity suitable for each stage of Alzheimer's or dementia. They have outings, they have gone to a local museum, and they take them out to eat occasionally. They have musicians come in and entertain them.

I visited Brookdale. I thought it was comfortable, and homey. I liked it. The studios were very small, but they had nice areas for residents to come out to sit in. The place had tables, and comfortable areas for reading. The dining-area looked big, and really nice. The place is close to where we live. They had a gym. We did not eat there, but they sent us home with their homemade cookies. I saw that they had a really nice library. They really had nice walkers for residents so that if they needed a walker, they could just grab one.

I looked at Brookdale Tulsa 71st and Sheridan, formerly Clare Bridge of Tulsa, and I wasn't impressed with it. It reminded me more of a nursing home environment although it was clean. It just wasn't for my parents. I was surprised at how small the apartments are, but they were clean. The residents seemed to be having a good time together. The staff was very friendly, and very accommodating. Most of the residents were out in the common area. The dining area was fine. However, they should redecorate.

The sales representative was informative, and was pleasant to talk to. I had a brief conversation with the administrator who was pleasant and accommodating. They were having an activity in the community area. They were willing to work with me, and they gave us a discount. We chose this because it was close to the hospital, the doctors, and because of the pricing.

Brookdale Tulsa 71st and Sheridan is all memory care, and I was very pleased with it. The facility was large; that's why I didn't pick it. It just seemed too big for my husband. While it might fit my husband's needs, I was just overwhelmed with that many people with those higher needs. I wasn't as comfortable as I am at the other facility.

We went to Brookdale Tulsa, and we met with the representative. We were shared details about the facility, and we were given a tour. We were very pleased with our experience. The staff appeared to be very professional and very efficient.

My husband is at Clare Bridge of Tulsa. It is OK. That's about all that I can say. It is not great, but it is OK. The care is OK. There is not really anything I have against it. I just have to move my husband there; I don't have a choice. The cost is a problem, but I'm not going to find anything cheaper.

My mother has moved in at Brookdale Tulsa, and I will be moving her out immediately; I didn't like it. The apartments were not clean, bugs are there, they haven't vacuumed since she has been there, and there's mildew in the cabinet. They don't even spend any time in the rooms. I went over there trying to take extra stuff, and I don't even know what I was paying for because they didn't help her with anything. It takes you forever to get in; you can't call and get in touch with anybody or leave a message -- very frustrating. They just have to use the bathroom in their pants, they got dementia, and they stay there on a 2-hour schedule before they take them to the bathroom. She wasn't incontinent before. They need to have more people.
There's very little activity there during the day; I know they've got a lot to do, and that?s when they need to have more people there. They have music playing most of the time on the radio. The one that I hired took her outside and let her sit.
She has fallen three times and had her on the hospital two times being in there less than a month. They need more help in the dining room for people that cannot feed themselves. Mom weighs 105lbs; she started out a year ago at 150lbs. They knew that she lost a lot of weight and that she needed to be fed.

Everything is going really well at Clare Bridge. He really adjusted to it quickly, and we are really pleased with it. They have an activity director, and dad plays domino. The staff is very friendly, and they all seem to know him really quickly. We are really impressed with all of the care. They have been communicating with us very well.

The staff at Clare Bridge of Tulsa is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are really nice and very spacious. I wasn’t able to eat there, but their dining room is nice. I am not really sure about their activities, but I know they have games, and they have a computer there.

This is a very bad place. Staff is disorganized and unprofessional, facility is dirty, the staff does all the cleaning which saves the facility money, but they don't have time to take care of residents.
my mom's the best
Clare Bridge was a very clean and well maintained facility. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very helpful. They had a lot of activities. However, my mom was too far with Alzheimer's that she wouldn't be able to participate on any of those.

I took a tour of Clare Bridge. It was very nice. I was impressed with the place. The young lady that gave me the tour was very efficient. I like the place, but it was interesting that they would charge me $500 a month to take care of a patient's medications. My wife takes one medication each month. So I didn't argue with them on that point. But $500 seem to be high to administer one pill a month.
