About This Community
Hospice is a type and philosophy of care that focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill person's pain and symptoms, while attending to their emotional and spiritual needs. It is an integrated program of medical and psychosocial care, insuring that the final stages of life are lived with the greatest degree of comfort and dignity.
Partnering with hospitals, nursing homes and community based organizations, Interim meets the specific needs of terminally ill individuals and their families. Interim provides care most frequently in patients' homes however, care can also be provided in independent and assisted living residences.
Hospice services from Interim are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances and include:
- Pre-Admission Consultation
- Nursing Care
- Pain and Symptom Management
- Pharmacy Consultation/Services
- Medical Equipment and Supplies
- Education and Training of families and caregivers
- An Interdisciplinary team of hospice aides, physicians, social workers, spiritual care counselors and volunteers
- Bereavement care for families and caregivers

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. There are some quality nurses that work here, however client beware they will drop (discharge) you on a whim.
After a recent surgery, my 80 year old mother was discharged with a care plan to ensure she would receive her antibiotic drip 3 times per day at home.
Only 4 days in, I received notification that they had "kind of goofed up on the skilled nursing rates". But was ensured, "not to worry, that there was a plan to fix it". They offered to honor the rate quoted for 3 days.
Day 1 became day 2 and day 2 I was put off until day 3. On day 3, the "plan to fix it" was 1) my mom does the drip herself (she does not have the dexterity) 2) she goes to a facility (she does not want to leave her husband of 48 years) or 3) she pays 3x the amount quoted. When I offered another, more viable solution, I was hung up on. Several minutes later, I received a text from the owner/manager that all in home care was being canceled. Interim Healthcare discharged my mom. Yes, they gave the obligated 5 day discharge notice, but expected my mom to pay the new rate for those 5 days.
This was NOT a I "kind of goofed up on the skilled nursing rates". This was a gross misrepresentation of the cost of care to get my mother home. Where I am from, when this happens the company takes the loss. In this case, my mom is the one that is suffering. And our family will be the one taking the loss when my mom dies of sepsis from not receiving her antibiotics.
This was the SECOND time they canceled service on my mom. Screw me once shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me.

Janita was a wonderful P.T. She really helped me get a lot of movement in my knees. A very nice person. Deborah is a very good helper. She was right there with me during my showers. She helped me get dressed. She is a very sweet young lady. I love them both.

Outstanding! Kristie the nurse was very knowledgeable of various medical conditions. She taught my mother and I a lot about managing diabetes, CHF and COPD. She is such a blessing to our family. She really cares and gives us time and attention.

I am very happy to have Christie as my nurse. She makes you feel very special. She is the best nurse I've ever had. She doesnt' rush in and out. She checks me thoroughly and explains the reason why she checks everything I'm in doubt of. She's the best. She goes over and beyond her duties.

Rebecca has been mom's helper for showers. She's wonderful! We have enjoyed having her help! All of the various nurses and staff have been so much help and a real blessing to our family.

Whatever you pay her, pay more. Samantha is awesome! She's always on time NO MATTER WHAT. She goes on and beyond call of duty! When we are in handicap parking and a car pull in too close, she lets them know they need to move over so I can get out. I and my husband adore her.

Physical therapy was very helpful with exercises geared to my needs. Nurse was knowledgeable and caught problems, reported them to doctor and antibiotics were ordered. Occasionally late for appointment while training other nurses.

Our nurse, Nicky is exceptional. She is kind and caring and takes the time to show me how to do what I need to take care of my husband, Dave. She always calls to let us know when she is coming. I can't say enough about her. Our bath lady is great, too. He says it's her or nobody!

I always get the best care from all of my nurses, especially my main nurses, Yolanda and Rebecca. I feel like they are family and they really care about me. I'm slowly but surely getting better and I attribute that to my wonderful care!

Since November 2017, Yolanda has been treating my wife wound care for back surgery. When wound wouldn't heal, she contacted surgeon head nurse and Dr. Lentz; wound doctor stitched and close wound December 28, 2017. Since then she has provided excellent care and wound is close to healing and just a small area now.

Psych nurse RN is amazing. Director of marketing is always cheerful and always helpful. The aides/companions are always so kind and caring. I have told lots of people about Interim.

Kim is an amazing professional with Interim. She cares for her patients very much and it shows during each visit. She is thorough with her assessments and spends the time to really listen to the patients' or families' concerns and questions. Her compassion for Home Health is very uplifting and any patient under her care will receive 5 star care every single time.

This agency is excellent. The nurses and aide staff are caring and kind. I could ask for nothing better! I was assigned this agency after discharge from a skilled nursing facility and the care was very good.
