My grandmother has been at Baptist Village since 2018. It has given me the greatest peace of mind knowing she has caring staff looking after her 24/7. She enjoys staying up late and playing cards and games with her neighbors. Her apartment has just enough storage where she was able to bring items from home to help her feel comfortable. She is absolutely spoiled, as I notice all the residents are! Last week the chef made steak and shrimp for Valentines day! The chaplain has been so wonderful keeping the residents spirits up during the pandemic. I have learned that Baptist Village is not-for-profit and this is not true of all assisted livings. We rarely experience rate increases, and they are always putting money back into the community. New games, exercise equipment, etc. The staff seems happy and eager to please, my grandmother loves those girls now, really loves them like family and I suspect they love her too. She has made new friends of her neighbors and they have accepted her even though she wasn't a local. I really feel like I couldn't have made a better choice for her. I have talked to other residents that have moved in from down the street and it does not sound like she would have been happy there.

We had a loved one, in the memory care. We got a call that our loved one wouldn’t make it the week. We went and got her and she’s doing well, that was a month, ago. I learned while my loved one was there, that if you’re a favorite, you would be fine. If not you’re on your own. I found medicine in my loved ones bed a couple times. Would ask about it and I would be told, not that important. I’m thinking any medicine that is given is important. I only seen the “chef “, once and that was the day we were shown around. They had him in the hat. Never seen it after that. Most of the help was good, a lot of young ones. You had to find them if needed. They were all in kitchen or on their phones in front of TV. My loved one was on the highest level. Which meant she needed help. There was time is couldn’t feed herself. We were told later, that they don’t feed them. If you’re consideringto put a loved one in a faculty, plz ask questions. If have a concern address it.

We got my mother-in-law in Baptist Village of Elk City. It's beautiful, clean, and friendly. I couldn't say enough good things about it. She's doing very well in there. They take really good care of her. Two staff members came in while we were in her room and talked; they're going to cater a birthday party for her, and the chef came to visit with me about it. I would recommend. They have an overwhelming amount of activities. We just met someone who came out and did the music and devotional. The food has always been delicious. They have different wings and it's nicely laid out. It's a lot cheaper than a nursing home.
