My dad moved to Prairie House Assisted Living & Memory Care and the experience has been very good. It was clean, people were friendly and it was new. We like his room, it has 3 big windows with lots of sunlight. We chose this place because of the location, it's one of the biggest factors. The food is not very good though, it did not seem to be freshly made. The price is ridiculously high.

Facility grounds and rooms are very good condition. Apartments are spacious, clean, and up to date. One of our key decision points in choosing Prairie House was an on-site Doctor. However, he visits only once a week. Thus, when there is a health issue, we had to wait for the next visit for this to get the issue addressed. Unfortunately, the wait caused additional issues and ended up going to go to Urgent Care and the Hospital ER. One of the more alarming issues is the turnover of staff. Although some of this can be due to staffing challenges in this market, there seems to be a larger issue as new staff also seem to leave within weeks of starting work at Prairie House. When there is staff available, they are very good. Last but not least, the food is below average. We find we must subsidize with additional personal food as some meals are not even edible. Quality was a bit better earlier in the year, but has declined with the recent increase in the cost of food.

We moved my mom into Prarie House Assisted Living and Memory Care in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. When we first toured the place, we saw their assisted living area first (which is really, really nice). I wish we would have found it three and a half years ago when we had moved our parents into assisted living at another place. I was really impressed with assisted living. It was very nice. I love their activities director and all the stuff that she had for the residents to do. They had a little dog park for the residents. They had a practically a full-scale gym with equipment classes and all kinds of stuff. They have a nice little courtyard. The hospital is right next door; you can throw a rock at it. I really didn't get to see the rooms. There was a common area where you can come to have an open bar. You can walk and have a couple of beers. The building has a big fireplace and an actual bar with a big screen TV. You get at least two complimentary drinks. They have a beauty salon and a spa. You can have an exam room for visiting doctors or nurses if you need to. The place really looks like a lodge. It is sort of like if you went to the lakefront lodge or a mountain lodge, you see a fireplace and a bar. We could just look into the dining room. We were not able to eat there. We were being escorted, and we had this distance from all the residents for safety. They did say that once we were allowed to have a visit with mom out of her room, we could bring her into the restaurant in the assisted living area and eat with her there. It's almost like we're taking her out to dinner at a nice restaurant. It seems like they're the ones that had a chef that had worked with Chef Morimoto from Iron Chef. It's a really big deal, especially for Japanese food.

My friend has moved into Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care. We were very rushed, so we didn't realize that she had to bring her own towel and her own kitchenware, so she was without towels for a few days. I actually had to call the site administrator and ask if there is anybody that can lend her a towel because we were rushed and so was the site administrator. I wasn't there when they signed the papers, but it would be helpful if they gave them a very detailed list of everything that the person has to bring with them. We knew about the furniture, but we were completely spaced on things like towels and kitchen items. That was probably about the only hiccup. It might have been that they gave a list like that, but I wasn't with them when they signed the papers. They actually jumped through hoops for me and I appreciate that. The reason why I'm dropping the rating is because, while they said they would help unpack my friend's things and get all that stuff done, there's a couple of obvious things that they should have pointed out and they didn't, like she has no towels. Also, my only contact has been with the sales manager. They spent a couple of hours with us beforehand when we visited, but we weren't able to dine there because of Covid. I couldn't even go into the dining room, but that's OK, it's because of Covid and we know that. I looked at the calendar of activities and that's all I could do. Everything was very restrictive because of Covid.

My mom is in assisted living. She has been in Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care for a month and a half. I'm impressed with the way that they have kept their community up, and they seem to be taking care of everybody very good. The staff are great. Right now, they're not really doing anything because of the COVID. The dining room is open, but all the other amenities they're not really using. There is a little exercise room and activity center. There's a movie theater in there; I don't think they're using that. The courtyard is really cute. There's a little putting green out there on that. There's a dog park. It's nice inside, and the apartments are cute. They have like studios, they have 1-bedrooms, and I think it goes up to 2-bedrooms. One side of it is memory care, I believe, and I think they share rooms in the memory care side. The staff have been great. I haven't tried the meals, but my mom said the food is horrible. That's the only thing that I can really say, but she doesn't like it a lot anyway. The facilities are very nice. It's a little pricey; it's one of the higher-priced ones.

Prairie House Assisted Living was beautiful but way too expensive. It would be for someone who's a millionaire. They had a chef and you could order all kinds of food. They had all kinds of activities for the people. The rooms were small. The person who showed us around was very pleasant, sweet, and told us everything we needed to know.

Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care was very nice. It was located right across my mom's church which was an attraction because she knew some people who were there and they also seemed to have the overall picture and healthcare was important to them. It was an extremely nice atmosphere. They did artwork and I was impressed by that. They had a movie theater. The place was much newer and they had thought of everything. It's a little more modern than I would usually go for.

I had the great joy of visiting Prairie House this weekend. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. My highlight was talking with the residents and hearing about how much they enjoyed the activities and the fantastic food.

I really liked Prairie House. I thought it was very neat and inviting. The person during the tour did well. She didn't know we were coming, which was kind of hard, but she helped us. I noticed that couples were watching a movie, some of them were sitting around, and it would be nice to have interaction like that. It was nice, clean, and new looking.

Disappointed. Memory care providers are supposed to be trained in dealing with memory care but this is not the case. very few real activities for residents in memory care - they just park them in front of a TV. Tremendous turnover in staff is great concern. very little staff stability due to turnover. Building is beautiful, dining room is good, but when it comes to trained, caring staff they are lacking.
