Spring Hills Middletown had pretty much everything that my mom would need. They have a rehab center, a gym, pool tables, places to get together, and nice fireplaces throughout. It's beautiful, just very clean, and really nice. The lady who toured me around was very pleasant to work with. The rooms have a little kitchenette that has a microwave, a small fridge, sink, and a couple of cabinets for dishes and stuff. The room she's getting has a balcony. They're just sliding doors with the railing out, but it overlooks the courtyard.

My mother-in-law has moved into Spring Hills Middletown. She likes it, and she likes the food. She's antisocial. She's been on anti-depressants, and she just decided she felt better so, she quit taking them and weaned herself off. She didn't have to leave a room. They bring her lunch, breakfast, and dinner and all that. She likes it because she gets waited on hand, food doesn't have to be inserted into a breathing tube. She found a library, and that was a plus. She likes the library, it's really good. The library is huge. So, she's got her moments and good things. They wanted her settled there because it's close between all the boys, and that was that. It's always really clean and pretty inside and outside. They're always very well kept; I like that about it. For people that are anti-social, a lot of them there are like that. Then there's another section which is for memory care. They keep that on lock behind a different section. She's not in that section. She doesn't have any problem, except she is just hard to deal with. She's not in the memory section, she knows what's going on. It's a great big kitchen and she's got a glass-topped dining with four chairs. She's got a refrigerator, and she kept her hutch with a bar-type thing where you can put your microwave, and other stuff involving your food and snacks, and everything there. There was a pretty big space. We put a little knick-knack thing on one wall, and pictures everywhere. The bathroom is humongous, with lots and lots of space there. The bedroom is good size; she just got a 2-room. I love the bathroom. It's huge with a shower stall. It's the drop-down seat, so instead of using a bar of soap, I told the boys to just get her bottles of soap, and don't get bars, they're going to slide right off that seat. I gave her a chair that my mom had, my mom had passed. So, we gave her the rail, and then we got the seat. Inside the tub is a small seat, so she could sit right down. I bought her a great big showerhead that could reach across the room. That way, just leave it hanging to the bottom of the tub, turn the water on, turn her handle on for shower, bend over and you pick it right up. You don't have to stand up and lose your balance out of the tub or something. It worked out well. The dining area is always clean and pretty nicely decorated. The building and everything in the place are really clean. The people that come around, they're dressed properly and they're nice. I can't imagine having a problem with those people. I know the kitchen was nice, and that my favorite time was in the summer or spring when they get to plant food. They've got off the ground gardening, so I like that part where you can go outside and help do all the gardening. They take people outside that want to get involved and help do all the gardening outside. They go out daily to check it out and prune off the dead parts and water as needed. If it's good weather, they spend the day out there gardening. I enjoyed that about this place, that they have that for people, instead of just playing bingo or I don't know what they do; I know they have the library. I'd say it's a little too expensive, she'll be there a year. The place is clean, every part of this place. The carpets are kept clean, and if you see any crumbs anywhere, it's going to be outside of somebody's store, when they've dropped something. They're too old to pick stuff up, if they want to bend over and pick it up, they'd fall on her face. So, just little things like that. They've got decorations on everybody's door here for the holidays. She used to make all those crafts, I'm thinking maybe I should take them and go hang it up over there. The things I've seen over there, it looks like they do it themselves. When she moved in, the next day, they had something decorative on her door. They took care of all that and restores anything sitting around. Everything's pretty good. They're just overpriced, I don't understand it. I don't know how much they pay, or I don't know why it's so high. They have two wings, there's the assisted part where they really need assistance. Some of them can't walk, or with Alzheimer's and dementia really bad. They keep it locked down, so they can't escape because it's dangerous. That's up on a big hill. They can get out and be down there in the gully, and they wouldn't know if you're down there because it's full of trees. It's pretty, there's always deer out there. There's a creek down below, and it's full of trees, so there's always deer that come right up to the window and look at you. It's nice where they put them.

My father has moved into Spring Hills Middletown. It was nice and clean; everyone seemed nice. They have a dining room, and I think the best thing is about them is how their food is. They have a larger menu where you get to pick what you want to eat that day, not just what they're serving you that day. You can pick from a lot of different things. Their little therapy room is nice, but my dad hasn't attended it yet. The menu looked pretty good. I did eat with him the first night that he was there. I had a piece of pork, like roasted pork, and it was good. Food's kind of bland a little bit here, like the mashed potatoes, because I don't think they like to put a lot of seasoning, or a lot of salt. Maybe some people can't deal with that, but they do have seasoning that you can put on it, and it was good. Most of the staff are good. There's a couple of people that I don't like; the receptionist doesn't know what's going on, hardly. Other than that, they're really good. It is clean and neat; nothing is sitting around, and no bad smells or anything. I didn't look too much into the activities because I know my dad won't participate in them. They do have an activities director and it sounds like she's really good; she tries to get people involved. I didn't look into it because I know my dad is just going to walk around the outside, enjoy outside, and watch TV. I would say it was really easy to move, and they were very helpful in completing all paperwork and helping with anything that we needed.

I really liked Spring Hills Middletown. They did an excellent presentation. It's a really nice facility. I actually talked to several of the residents. They did a really good job. They probably did the best job of communicating with me and doing the best interview of all of them. Their facility and everything was really nice. The staff was great and really friendly. The rooms I looked at weren't big at all, but they were enough for one person for sure. They had exercise facilities and their menus looked really appetizing. It looks like they had a good deal of different things for people to do. It felt homey and comfortable. The dining area was very nice and roomy. They were still doing the COVID thing when I was there, so they were socially distancing there at the time. It looked more like fine dining. I certainly like the place, and I like its atmosphere, and where it was located. It's in town, but it's kind of isolated, and that seemed to be a good place to be. I liked the staff really well.

We were very pleased with Spring Hills Middletown, but it was just too far away. Otherwise, they were really high on the list. I don't think the rooms were as nice, as far as the size and being a two-bedroom. I think it was going to be a little too cramped, but the people were wonderful. They had some extra services that we really liked. There's one employee that all she does is make sure that the new residents feel very comfortable, and she spends a lot of extra time with them in the beginning. The facility was beautiful too. The dining area was very welcoming, nice, and well-taken care of. It looked like they had a lot of things that my parents would have enjoyed. They do the crafts and creative things that they like to do. The staff was also very friendly.

I was very impressed with Spring Hills Middletown. I spoke with Laura, and she was fantastic. She had a lot of enthusiasm and I really enjoyed visiting with her. From what I saw, the facility was nice and the grounds were beautiful. I couldn't look at everything that day because they were giving the residents the COVID vaccine and certain areas were off limits. The rooms looked good. You could have your own little apartment and even have a little patio where you can step outside. When the weather is nice, they have lots of activities for people to do, and I was happy to hear that. They have things going on for every holiday. For example, Super Bowl's coming up, so they'll have a special thing for Superbowl. For Valentines Day and for Easter, grandkids can come and hunt for Easter eggs that day. On Trick or Treat, the grandkids can come and go trick or treating too, not on the actual Trick or Treat Day, but on the day around that. They said for Thanksgiving, they can be with their family, and they also have a Thanksgiving meal around that time. They have an opening day for the residents, they have a cookout, a summer barbecue sometimes, and they have music.

We moved our parents to Spring Hills Middletown. Our experience has been very good. It's a calm and pleasant environment. It's smaller than where they were before, which I like, and it's all on one level. There are no floors and no elevators. They're in the brand new wing, and it's very nice. The food is excellent, and it has a very nice dining atmosphere.

We found Spring Hills Middletown for my mother-in-law, and she's been there for a little over a month. The living atmosphere is very positive. The staff is extremely helpful and go above and beyond. Her room is really nice, comfortable, and adequate for her needs. It's very clean, and she remarks all the time about the cleanliness of the facility and her room. The dining area is very nice, and like a restaurant, they order off a menu each meal. There are activities going on all day long, like bingo, music, trivia, entertainment, and a chance to go off-campus once a week, to either go shopping, or to a restaurant.

My parents moved into Spring Hills Middletown several months ago. When I looked at this place I liked it. It was a clean-looking place, it seems that the residents are happy and they have good food. I would definitely recommend them, it’s a good place. I have no problems with the staff members, since they’re all good people. The activities are good, and my dad enjoys them.

My mother moved into Spring Hills. Her meals, housekeeping, and doctors are all-inclusive. I found no fault in any way in their support for my mother. They were able to maintain what she eats based on her diet. They're also a $1,000 cheaper than the other facilities.

Spring hills was a very nice, clean facility. The rooms were very nice, some with a private door to the courtyard. We did not have lunch, but the menu was complete in every way. We plan on going back for a second tour in the near future.

Spring Hills Middletown is a very good place and the rooms are larger than what I was expecting. We chose it because of the location. The price was very comparable but quite more expensive than other places. The staff is very helpful. We like the food and the dining services. They have a lot of activities. They have an outdoor garden.

My mother-in-law resided at Spring Hills for about 1 1/2 years. The facility was always clean and very "homelike." The staff provided excellent care and attention to Jeannette. She was always treated kindly and with dignity. Jeannette blossomed through interaction with the other residents and the staff members. My husband and I always felt welcome when we visited. The staff members were always very caring and treated us like their own family. The quality of the food was unbelievable. The food was like that from a gourmet restaurant. My husband and I have decide that this is the facility in which we want to live when we need assisted living or memory care. Spring Hills surpasses all other facilities.

My father is a new resident to Spring Hills. I was nervous about moving him from home into an assisted living facility. He is doing so well now. I wish I would have considered this option sooner. He has really come to life. He is really social and participates in all the great activities. He has quickly made friends with the other residents and the staff. The staff genuinely cares about the residents and makes them feel special. I can’t begin to say enough good things about this place. My father now refers to this place as his home. They will need to quickly add on because I will continue to sing their praises every chance I get. The staff there have been truly wonderful for this transition. I am truly grateful for all they have done. If you are nervous about considering this as an option for loved one, these people are very genuine. I highly recommend this property!

Overall, I think Spring Hills is very good. I think the staff is good. At times, it appears that they're a little understaffed. The rooms are very nice. They have several different layouts for their rooms. My parents were, at first, living there together. and they had a 3-room apartment. Dad became a bit worse with his Alzheimer's and had to go into the mental care facility there, and so he has his own room, and mom moved to a smaller one. She has 2 rooms now. They're both still there. They're just living in separate rooms. What I like most about it is that the environment is very nice.

Spring Hills Middletown was very clean, and the people there were very friendly and helpful. Those were the things that helped me decide on this community for my husband. It is beautiful place. They don't have the appeal of a nursing home. It is more like a home. My husband has his own room, and it opens to a courtyard, where he can be out without eloping. The building is around the courtyard, so there is no way out. That's important to me because when he was home, I had a hard time with keeping him inside. He is in their memory care, and he is very limited in what he can do, but they do have activities, like puzzles for them. The activity director is very good. They have a man that comes in and plays the guitar and sings. They also take them on little outings. Of course, they have to have assistance with that kind of thing. They take them to a farm and just let them look at the animals. Overall, there is plenty to do. My husband enjoys that, even though he is very limited in what he can do; he is kept busy there. He said that he likes this place, and he thanked me for arranging this for him. That was great!

The people at Spring Hills are taking good care of my mother. The staff members are very helpful and very sweet. I really like them. They have an Alzheimer's unit. My mother has dementia or Alzheimer's and they have a facility just for that, which we really like. She has a room there and she has settled in. They have a lot of activities. They have music and cooking activities. It is a very attractive facility and my mom seems happy there. I would recommend this facility to others.

I was very impressed with Spring Hills Middletown. We found this place for my mother-in-law. She was in the assisted living until she passed away. They were very good to her and we were very satisfied with it. She had a choice of several different rooms. Her room was overlooking an enclosed courtyard. It was very clean. There's a cafeteria where she would go down to eat. Sometimes they bring the food to her room. They would always follow up all her medications. It's an excellent place and we were very happy with it.
