I was very pleased with everything that I heard and saw at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village. I think that they had a lot to offer. I would have considered it a place to put my parents if they would have had room. I was very pleased with the continuum of services for the memory care. As they progress to their disease, they would have been able to have the services that they need there without having to move to a different facility, and they were Medicaid-approved.
The staff was wonderful. I felt very comfortable talking to them. She was very honest and upfront saying that they have a commitment to their current residents to get them into their homes before they would start leasing and renting to other people from outside because of the lightning strike and fire they had last year, and I appreciated knowing that.
The dining area was very nice and looked very accommodating. The people were eating while I was there. They seemed friendly and more interacting with one another.

I think Mount Pleasant Retirement Village had a very pretty setting. They had a lot of things to do for the seniors. The eating place was very nice. They had different types of houses for independent living. It was a very big community. I liked the way they handled things, and I liked the way the people seemed so friendly and caring.

Mount Pleasant had a house that I wanted to live in, except that it was dedicated to someone else. They had a 40% waiting list. It had the right space for me. It had the right number of rooms and the right flow and that sort of things. It was a new building and there were too many trees. It was fine. I would be living there, if I could.

Mount pleasant seems to be just that, pleasant. The facility is very home-feeling and cozy. Each resident gets their own one bedroom apartment like dorm, which can be decorated and furnished to the residents likings. My great grandmother has been taken care of very well at this facility, as shown by their quick response to any injuries she has received from falls. I am very pleased with how the staff has taken care of my great grandmother, and I am pleased with how clean they keep her residence, and the rest of their building. Mount pleasant is a large two winged building, with a dinner hall in the middle. They allow enough room for scooters and other assistance devices used everywhere. The food is not too bad either, I have joined my great grandmother for Christmas dinners in the past, and although it is bland, salt easily takes care of that problem. As a final note, the only negative is one of their night nurses is very rude and immature.
