I toured South Franklin Circle. It was a very nice and beautiful facility. The grounds are very nice, but a little too natural for my liking. It is in a kind of wooded area in the distance. To me, it was rather expensive, especially if you needed to upgrade from independent living. The apartments that we looked at were nice. They had nice amenities, but the layout was not that appealing in the one we toured. There was some wasted space in the entry area. It was a beautiful building, though, and well maintained. The staff was very nice and very pleasant. They have what I would call a high-end dining room. Their dining plan is something like $800 a person per quarter, so I think it's a pay-as-you-go plan, but I'm not exactly sure. They had an area for people who wanted to do gardening.

South Franklin Circle is a very complete facility. It is relatively new and has everything from independent living to a nursing home type of care. The staff is excellent. The rooms and apartments are lovely. It is a beautiful place. The food is very good. I ate in the café, and they have an excellent restaurant that is open to the public. They have an indoor swimming pool, exercises, and art programs.
