Hamlet at Chagrin Falls was very nice. People were caring and they had a lot of activities going on. That would be the best place for my parents if we went. They would have their own apartment. Everything was kept clean and the carpet looked nice.

The rooms at Hamlet at Chagrin Falls were spacious. It was clean. There appeared to be a full schedule of activity options for the residents. I got to view a model room, and the facility was bright and cheery. They had cards and bingo. They're very good. I only got to meet two people and they were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The outside looked like a nice green area, kind of in nature.

My mom lives in a beautiful apartment that she loves. It has lots of windows with southern and eastern exposure. She sits in the sun and is so happy. Her family thinks the staff is top notch. Mom has heard opera singers, pianists, made gingerbread men and played Bingo. The new Activities Director makes it a point to visit my mom and ask if she wants to participate in various activities. We are thrilled that she gets out of her apartment and mingles with the other residents (with masks on of course). She doesn’t have much of an appetite but loves the soups and desserts.

I loved what I saw in Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. I saw people actually doing stuff, meaning the actual residents. I saw them actually participating in programs, participating in therapy, getting out in the atrium, waving at people as they walked by their room. There is an area where the carpet has split in a main area, which especially for those who have walkers or have a hard time walking because, like my stepmom, have Parkinson's. Not having that taken care of immediately to me is a safety concern. But as far as what I saw, and the friendliness, not just of the staff, of the residents that were there, kind of let me know that the residents that live there actually are extremely happy with being there. I don't know if it's also because it's a wooded environment, it's a nice tucked away little place that's kind of in nature, which is pretty nice. So it's a nice place. I actually like it. We had a receptionist when we came through, and I don't know if it was due to race, but as soon as we came through, she said, "Oh, are you the aides?" And we're like, "No, we're here to tour the facility," so just being conscientious of, you know, each person that comes to the door as a person and, you know, just checking in with them. "Hello, how may I help you? What can I help you with?" versus, are you the aides? So that was one of the things that actually was something that my younger sister kind of was a little offended by. We saw one unit that was completely done, the other one wasn't. We were told initially that someone had just moved out and the family was still getting a few things out, but they wanted us to be able to see the unit just because of the fact that it would be available. If that was a unit that they chose to take, the parents could pick their colors, decide if they want flooring or if they want carpeting or whatever would work for them. So actually, it was a very nice unit, and actually it wasn't horrible for someone just moving out. It wasn't bad. We were given a little treat, which was really good. It was kind of like a dessert type of treat, so that was nice, and something to drink.

We haven't been able to visit our friends in over a year because of the coronavirus and everything being locked down. Today we were able to visit them inside for the first time. They looked great! The Atrium looked and smelled amazing! The staff treated us like royalty coming in. They screened us at the door and made sure we were safe to come in but it was very pleasant. Our friends said Hamlet did a marvelous job at keeping them and everyone safe and active during this past years lock down. I can't tell you enough how pleased I am to hear this. Thank you Hamlet! It was hard to not be able to come in and see for ourselves but you did an excellent job! And I hear your food has greatly improved. We are looking forward to eating in the restaurant again once you open it for visitors.

We encouraged our parents to live there to enrich and ease their lives, however, the whole time became a matter of addressing one problem or another. There were a few aids we felt we could trust their care but not all Response time was poor The food is VERY poor: canned, frozen, overcooked Our parents were there almost one year and every day there was something regarding our parents that needed our attention and intervention with one or more of the departments. The only department working smoothly was Activities. I would NOT recommend this facility!

Mom moved in for about a month at Hamlet Village. It’s like a little village with independent living, apartments, an assisted living area, and a nursing home. It’s a 47-acre property in a little, cute area in Chagrin Falls that's wooded and beautiful. My mom lives in the assisted living that's built with a large atrium in the middle. They have tons of activities, and she said the food is great. She really likes it. The first time we visited, she said it was perfect.

Hamlet Village is a very nice facility, but it did not fit our needs. It was too big and spread out. I saw one receptionist interacting with a resident in the lobby.

Dont be fooled by the beautiful neighborhood surrounding this establishment. There staff is beyond disgusting. I had to call the police to do a well check because even after paging the nurses station because of her pain and then sitting in her feces. The staff laughing and making jokes outside her door as my mother was crying yelling for help. This place is a disgrace for patient care!

This facility is one of many in our area. It was a little out of my family's price range, but I must say it was impressive. The grounds are kept rather immaculately and the entire facility is more of a campus for assisted care and apartments for self-sufficient retirees. We visited two times, both random open door invitations where we found a friendly staff all around, a piano player for the dinner meals, and a very caring staff. I think it goes back to the fact that you're paying for this kind of quality, but they were straightforward about costs and looked into every avenue of how my grandfather's insurance plan might be utilized. A friend of ours has put both of his parents here at separate times and gave us the recommendation. He told us some of his fondest memories were getting to walk around the area with his father, which is located very closely to a village town with many shops, parks, and waterfalls. A great way to retire, and, again, costly and impressive.
