This place has gone down hill. Corporate greed has destroyed it. My father was displaced without notice so they could remode. He was pushed out of his room for over a year. The room we specifically chose for him. They disregard family and resident rights and preferences and concerns. We are just a dollar sign and number on paper to them

My father-in-law’ could have not been in a better place. Sure there were some minor issue (Who likes institutional food). For the most part the staff went out of their way to ensure his comfort. They showed him a lot of compassion and caring throughout his stay. He was happy there and we his family where lucky to have that option so close to home. Thank you staff of Essex II for the excellent care and companionship you provided him.

I didn't care for Essex of Salem III. They didn't seem especially clean. They didn't seem especially well-run. They were noisy. I saw patients being ignored asking for help. I was not comfortable with any of those. The grounds were not particularly nice. It was mostly parking lot around them. The facilities themselves were fine but definitely needed upgrading.
