My dad was here for rehab. It was an assisted living community and with a rehab facility. There were all kinds of planned activities throughout the day. They offered physical and occupational therapies, watched movies, and played cards or different kinds of games. They did a very nice job with my dad when he was there. The staff was accommodating and very pleasant to work with.

My uncle has not been here yet, but everything they have said to us like they will put him at the dining table with people his own age and own experience, they do the laundry and the meds, and they will monitor him when he is walking. He is 95 and needs some care, and I felt very comfortable. The one thing I really like is they have a nurse on the premises 24/7, and he is very close at that facility to the Cleveland Clinic in Avon, Ohio -- probably 6 or 7 minutes away. So that was another consideration because I am going to be thousands of miles away from him, and I needed to know that facilities would be available. Just on the visit and looking at the facility and everything that they said they were going to do et cetera, it was wonderful. As far as the food goes, they have a menu board up with 4 or 5 specials for the day. And if he would like something else, they seemed more than happy to do it. They always have soups, sandwiches, salads, and those kinds of things as well. So if maybe he is not that hungry and wants just a sandwich, they said they will make that which made me feel better as well. They have a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, and there is seating, so in the beautiful weather that we are going to have this summer, he can sit outside and enjoy nature, and it was beautifully done. I saw it a few weeks ago -- not quite the weather yet to have the flowers and everything out -- but they said the fountain has fish in it, and they have birds all over the grounds. So there are things to engage and make their time more enjoyable. They have a little café if he decides that he wants a cup of coffee, or a cookie or something else, they have that stuff out constantly during the day. They have showers, baths, and a whirlpool tub, so his needs as far as bathing goes will be met there. There are a lot of things that make it nice.

My mother stayed here. It's a very nice place. Her room was clean, equipped, and roomy enough for two people. The staff seemed to be OK. Mom is combative, and they couldn't even do her physical therapy with her at times. Mostly she just sat in her chair, and they talked to her and tried to take her for a walk up and down the hall. I was satisfied with the meals that she received there. The dining area looked fine with tables with chairs set up so they can push the wheelchairs right up to the tables. Family was welcome to join them, and if they can't take care of eating themselves, there's an aide there that helped them with that.
