The Village of St. Edward was a very nice facility. The staff was wonderful, and I liked everything about their facilities. My aunt has had great care there, they just don't have availability at this point for my other aunt.

I had my mother in this facility when recovering from a broken ankle. She spent 5 months there recovering. Before she went there she was taking care of herself, was able to transfer to her mobile chair and get around very good. They did absolutely nothing to get her up and moving again. I finally pulled her out because 5 months had passed and I could see nothing was happening. She has lost complete use of her one leg because not once did they ever rehab her to to the point of getting out of bed, or even sitting up in bed and trying to stand up. She laid in bed for months and now I am starting all over trying to get her to sit up by herself and possibly put weight on her feet again. We even got to the point where they stopped therapy, even though they never got her out of bed. She pretty much was left there in bed and has now lost all muscle. This wasn’t rehab! She has no movement on one side of her body. She requires 24/7 care now. Unfortunately due to Covid I couldn’t see what was going on or I would have pulled her out sooner. The only good thing my mom could say about this facility is it was clean. I would not recommend this place for skilled rehab.

My brother is at The Village at St Edward for long-term care. Everything looks great. We are real happy to have him move in there. There are private and semi-private rooms, but because of the cost we selected a semi-private. They're providing physical therapy and meals for him. They have a dining room, a library, a lounge, and a courtyard. We have taken him outside to walk around.

My mom was at The Village at St Edward for three months. Everything was fine. The staff was fine but the food should be better. They didn't have enough staff. Being that it is a Catholic nursing home, they have a built-in chapel. That was the main reason why we wanted to go there. If you're Catholic, it's a wonderful amenity that they have that onsite.
It's an older home. The rooms were built 60 years ago. They're not modern or up-to-date accommodations but they're adequate for people that require skilled nursing services.
