My father was in a private room, I wouldn't do a semi private for anything! No one should be that cramped! Staff took forever to answer call light, never identified themselves, we're never visible, never came into the room except to give meds. They wouldn't let visitors in, saying it was due to Covid, but failed to inform family members that patients could receive visitors according to the CDC guidelines under Compassionate Care visits. Withholding this information is unethical! Please, utilize you Umbudsman to help if you need an advocate for your family membet

Both Pleasant View and Pleasant Pointe are fine facilities. The staff are so very loving, caring, and professional. They treated my dad like he was their father and not a patient. I really think they love their patients. While my dad was there we knew that he was being cared for to the best of their ability. Even though my dad died during the Covid pandemic, I know how very hard they worked to keep the residents safe. I would have no problem with placing a loved one there. They are truly angels on Earth.

My mom had to wait forever for her pain medication. After back surgery, she was supposed to recover and get PT. After a week, still no physical therapy. A woman in the room next to her fell out of bed and was screaming for help, so my mom had to put on her light to get someone to check. She heard the nurse cry out that there was blood! Cramped, tiny room with a roommate... And they allowed the roommate to keep the temperature at 80° and keep the tv on all night. They put my mom in a wheelchair incorrectly, and went rushing out and ran over her foot. I had to demand that the doctor prescribe outpatient physical therapy so I could get her out of there. So disgusted!

I was in Pleasant View Health Care Center for rehab after my spinal surgery last October. The staff was wonderful, but like any other SLF, it was understaffed. I had to use a walker, and it was pretty unsteady for the first couple or weeks. There were times when my hands were numb, and they had someone come. They were wonderful, and they would apologize for having to wait so long like for my meds and staff, but that wasn't their fault. You could not ask for nicer people. They are really great. The rooms were regular SLF rooms. They do not have a separate room for rehab or anything. If you wanted TV, you would have to pay for that. They had a very nice TV room, and it wasn't until the last few days before I went home that I went to any group activities. They had bingo and mid-morning snack, and it was great. The food was a little better than hospital food, but not really to my liking. We usually had to ask them to heat it up. They needed to do that because they had to feed many people. The place was extremely clean. It was a fairly new facility. We had to share a bathroom between two rooms. I was in a double room, but I do not have a roommate. There wasn't anyone in the other bed, but I had to share a bathroom with the lady on the other side who needed a lot of help in the bathroom. Sometimes she was like, "Oh, I'm not sure I'm gonna make it!" That was something that they could improve upon really.

I looked at Pleasant View, and I had a hard time going in front of the administrator because she was never available to talk to us. I called them five times and could not get any pricing. The only reason we would have considered it was that it was close to my mom's home and a good location for my sister to visit. However, they never contacted us, and I was very upset about that, but it didn't matter anymore. The apartments were small, and there was no kitchenette. We really didn't get a tour. There was just a person at the front desk who took us up to a room and back down; that was really it. We did not get to talk to anybody. As I said, I wanted to talk to the administrator, and it just didn't work out for us. The location was the only thing that impressed me.

Pleasant View Health Care Center is a family-owned facility. It's a good place. They take care of my sister.

I feel this nursing home is not the best to choose if you want your relative to get better. THis place is not responsive to the needs of their patients resulting in bed sores and stiffness. To get them to release my mother I had to pull out the power of attorney paperwork and demand I test her to see if she could be on her own. She passed all tests and I was forced to walk out with my mother against their wishes. Otherwise the place was clean and the nurses were friendly. It is a major issue for me that these people try to keep people that do recover quickly from things like a hip replacement. My mother was so upset she thought they were never going to let her go.

new management is wonderful, the new director of nursing does her best to meet every need of everyone, famalies, residents, and employees. They work hard to keep the facility clean and everything working properly. The staff is always cheerful and uplifting and work hard to meet everyone's demands in a timely manor. I would reccomend this facility to anyone looking for long term care. They also have a great therapy department for those seeking rehab.

My mom was there for over six years until she passed away in February 2012. Overall the first 5 years were really great with only an occasional minor issue, the last year of her life there had been a change in management and a lot of staff turnover and it was clear that there wasn't much of a connection between staff and residents or family members. It was lass like a family and more business-like.
