Staff is arrogant and uncaring. Rooms are clean and new. Activities are very rushed and are seldom setup.

From what I could see from the outside of my mom's window, the room looked clean and nicely furnished.
My mom has been here for one week and I've had issues from day one being able to contact her on her room phone. After two days one of mom's friends found out that he ringer volume was turned all the way off, so that was finally resolved. Then her phone cord was too short for her to be able to reach the phone when she was up in a chair. After I voiced a complaint to the floor nurse, someone did offer to go get a longer cord so the bedside table could be pushed up to mom while she was in her chair. Near 8pm at night, they must turn the phone off because when I call she doesn't answer. She answers all my calls during the day.
The emergency call light is not within my mom's reach, her call light goes unanswered for long periods of time.
I visited her today and it took her call light being on for 20 minutes and then three phone calls by me to the front desk and two to the nurses station, which went unanswered, just to have someone go to her room and raise the blinds so we could see her.
She needed assistance before we left and her call light was on at least 15 minutes. Finally, I called the front office again and on the third try the receptionist answered. I was upset, the receptionist was rude. Ten minutes later a nurse arrived and it took another 10 minutes before an STNA came to assist mom.
My mom is supposed to be in the rehab section but from what I've seen and heard, she is not being given therapy to build up her strength so she can go home.
She's also forced to wear adult diapers and not given the option to use the bedside commode. I was an aide for 15 years, and we got bed bound residents up to the bedside commode whenever they requested. My mom is probably less than 100 pounds so there's no excuse for not getting her up. You've taken away her dignity!
I'm in the process of moving mom to another facility and it's been dragging out for a week. Some of the aides seem very nice but the level of care I was told my mom would receive and the level that I've seen is troubling. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place.

I went to the Avenue at Wooster. Its clean and nice, it was decorated tastefully, and the people seemed content. The apartments looked like they would be pleasant. I think they had nice activities. The rooms had a bedroom, living room, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. The residents looked nice. I saw a library where they could get books and such, they had a dining room setup like a party, decorated in red and back, and it was really tastefully done.
