My husband I were in this facility about 20 minutes. After getting checked in we met with the Marketing person. After a few minutes, she informed us that my husband and I would not be able to be at Concordia because we were a same sex couple, which is not allowed by their Lutheran Missouri Synod Board. The lady was most apologetic and embarrassed to have to tell us this. However, it was very professional of her to tell us upfront before we toured the place.

We went to Concordia at Sumner. Their hallways are very long and it is more than one story. As we looked over the place, I could not see my husband be in a room on the second floor and then having to walk a long hallway to get to an elevator to go downstairs. It is very inconvenient as far as we are concerned. Nevertheless, it ranked very high. They had a musical group when we visited. The dining facility seemed to be nice. They had an area where people could walk. It was very well landscaped. When you looked out the window it had a pleasant atmosphere. However, you have to walk quite far to get to the parking. The parking close to the entrance was pretty full, so there aren't often any close places to park. I would give the staff a five because they definitely knew what they were talking about and they were pleasant. The place was very clean. The building hadn't been there the longest, but it was very well decorated and very nice.
