There is an intense lack of impathy as well as communication. The New Executive Director is difficult to communicate with when she is in the building ( which is rare). She is argumentative, abrasive and dishonest and has even bring loved ones ans others to teats. The facility in not what it used to be, in gact it is disappointing, saddening and disgusting to see. All of the staffed who were pleasant, attentive and interactive are gone amd replaced with poor leadership throughout.

The woman who gave me the tour at American House Macedonia was the nicest lady ever. She was probably the most informative person I've talked to at an assisted living facility. I don't remember her name, but she was very thorough and very helpful. She was awesome. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The dining area was very nice, and it seemed like there was a lot of staff helping the residents in the dining area. They had a movie theater, a pub, and art classes. I saw a lot of crafting, art, and painting. The setting of the facility was the prettiest. If I was going to go there, it would be convenient for everything.

My mother-in-law moved into the American House Macedonia. They have wonderful communication. They allowed us to be with my mother-in-law in the transition. Unfortunately, she has fallen, and is back in the hospital. It's apartment style, and they offer I think five different floor plans. That was nice to have: a choice. We chose one that we thought was appropriate for her, and none of them are huge. The do offer activities, and it seems like that was one of the areas we were pleased with, the amount of activities that they offered. She's not taking part in the activities, the dining activities, we're a little concerned, and because each resident has a right to say yes or no, they don't seem to be persuading her. We're not allowed in the facility, but we feel confident though that she's in a good place. They have a courtyard, they do offer a salon, and they have a media room, which is really nice. I've only interacted with Amy, and she's wonderful.

The hook promises lots! It’s a beautiful facility. The communication is terrible. My dad was there 4 days and we never had anything communicated to us. I called randomly on the 5 th night and was told that he was being difficult and tried to leave. Had I not called , I wonder if we would have known this. They told us initially they wanted to work with him and get him rehabbed. But when he tried to leave, they threatened to put in in a psych ward. So far not impressed.

We had a brief visit with Vista Springs. It was clean, and service oriented. We would have considered them, but they would not accept Medicaid. They had rooms available and they were comparable.

This is a wonderful facility! My mom has been here for several months and she is very happy. My family is happy, too, to see that she is getting such good care. We toured a number of facilities in the area and asked a lot of questions at each one. We decided on Vista and we are pleased with our choice. Mom has a nice room with lots of sunlight. It is a one bedroom apartment with a small fridge and microwave. There is a combined living room/ dining area in her room. She pays for medication management so her individual meds are in a locked cabinet right in the room. The nursing staff come in twice a day and give her the meds. The staff at Vista is really friendly and will do whatever they can to make residents and families feel welcome. Front desk staff, activities director, chef, nurses etc. All are really pleasant. Vista has a lot of activities in the facility and out. The activities director really does a great job planning things for the residents to do. What else can I say? It is a great place!

Vista Springs Macedonia is very open and nice. Everything about it was great, and Karen, the person who assisted me was very good. They have music, people coming in and entertaining them and going to classes with different people coming in and talking to them.

It's hard to say for sure what kind of care they provide. I know i have gone in to check the place out for my mom a few times and it seems like the last person I worked with is always gone. I have a friend whos mother lives there and she also said there is almost no one left from the original staff. The follow thru is not good either. I would love to move my mother there for convenience but i cant imagine it is good with all that turnover.

Vista Springs was very nice. The staff was very friendly, cordial and confident though there’s one that I didn’t care for and she was rude. When you go into the vicinity, you register at the guest list. Everyone has their own apartment and they were very friendly. There’s a little studio and 1 or 2-bedrooms. I did stay for respite and they served you three meals a day and when I get out of there I actually lost weight. They do your laundry every day if you wanted something done. It had a lot of turnover though.

Moving mom from one facility to another is always a difficult transition, however the staff at Vista Springs made that transition easy. The open feel and well laid out facility makes it feel like a home. Mom is now more engaged and enjoying her new home.
