We think The Forum at Knightsbridge would work with us. We like the setup. The amenities are provided. They have a variety of options for the rooms and the apartments. There are various floor plans to choose from and very nice management in that they seem to be very sensitive to the tenant's needs. They just seemed to have a nice setup there. We were able to get something within our price reach, and the location is very good because it is very close to me and that is meaningful to my sister because she knows where she is, and she didn't want to be far from me. I took her to places. It just didn't sit well with her. This one is close to me, and I hope it works out for us. The person who took me around is very knowledgeable and informative. She knows about the various problems that aging brings and she's able to make recommendations.

My mother-in-law was there after a trip to the hospital for rehabilitation. Never have I nor my family been treated with more disrespect in our lives. My family member received a phone call one morning that the nurse found her on the floor when she checked on her. How does this happen when her bed had side rails I will never understand. We were told that she was refusing PT and not participating. They then kept pushing us to get her out of there since they could no longer get any money from Medicare. Jamie the social worker and Vivian the nurse manager actually yelled at us over the phone and would not even allow us to finish a sentence. Jamie actually lied about a conversation she had with my family member previously. Then Jamie told us if we did not have arrangements made by the time they were discharging her that we would have to pay a full month's rent to keep her there even if we were only going to keep her there a few extra days. They would reimburse us at some point for the money not used. We do not have that kind of money to have them hold it until they could pay us back. They told the home health nurse that she was a two person lift and incontinent. When she returned home she got up and walked with help to the bathroom. She have never once been incontinent since she returned home. We feel like they never even attempted any kind of treatment and they were just collecting a payment from Medicare. I would never recommend this facility for anyone.

My mother is now at The Forum at Knightsbridge. It has been fine so far. The people seem friendly and take care of my mom. My mother has a studio apartment, which is plenty large enough for the few things she has with her. She gets three square meals a day. Yesterday, they had a USO show, which was great. She has been playing a lot of jigsaw puzzles. So far, it has been working out. They have a small library. She does physical therapy, so she is keeping in shape. They are making sure she gets her dinner and that she goes for her meals. They have given her medicines daily, too. There is a doctor who sees her once a week. Everything is good.

We were very happy with The Forum at Knightsbridge. It looked really good. We were very happy with the people who we met. They were very friendly and very professional. There seemed to be plenty of people there to take care of my mother.

I had a very nice experience at The Forum. I had lunch with some of the residents. I looked at the community, and it seemed very pleasant. The dining area was very lovely, the service was wonderful, and the food was good.
The marketing person took me around, and at that point I just didn’t know. They did seem to have adequate space around the place. Right now they don’t have the 2-bedrooms available; they only have the expensive apartments.

My father was first put with a patient that we were later told never is roomed with anyone due to the severity of his condition. After a miserable and sleepless night he was moved but his confidence in the facility was rightfully shaken. The next night he waited for over an hour to have assistance to the toilet and was told that he'd just have to wait as the technician had 18 patients and pooping wasn't a priority. The stress was great on his fragile system and we went back to the hospital the next day. The nurses who had cared for him before Knightsbridge were shocked at the damage 48 hours had done. I would never suggest this place. It looks nice and the food is good. If you can care for yourself then it might be a good choice. But it us NOT a good choice for medical assistance of any kind. And the attitude that the nurses gave us when we decided to take him back to OSU was horrendous. You would think we were dipping directly into their pay! They told us to ignore his 'antics' and go home. I don't think needing help to breath or get to a toilet is antics. Those nurses need continuing education in compassion. They will grow old and require assisted too. I hope they get exactly what they've given.

I have no personal relationship with the management or any of those employed by this institution. My professional experience, when I was employed, was in industry and in higher education where I held senior administrative positions. In that capacity, I witnessed good and poor administration and in that context, I wish to comment about the environment that both my wife, in Assisted Living because she has Alzheimer’s Disease, and I, in Independent Living, are experiencing.
It is my view that senior administrators in any institution or organization are the environment creators for everyone in their organization. In my judgment, the Executive Director, Rebecca, NHA, is an outstanding administrator of The Forum at Knightsbridge. I’ve arrived at that conclusion after more than two years in residence at the Forum from among the following:
1. By her great sensitivity to the needs of all residents and her ready availability to address residents’ concerns
2. By her open-door policy with respect to all employees at The Forum regardless of position
3. Her willingness to share with her staff weekend time needs at the Forum
4. The lack of a hierarchical structure with a concomitant “pecking” order
5. Her receptivity to make changes in the facility based upon available financial resources from the corporate organization
6. Her support of programmatic changes that will enhance residents’ happiness
7. Her readiness to do anything herself, however mundane, if it will improve the immediate environment
Those are attributes that one would hope to see in any senior administrator, but especially in senior housing where the recipients might not have the mobility to move from a less than optimal environment. The Forum at Knightsbridge is very fortunate to have such an outstanding Executive Director.

We knew of The Forum at Knightsbridge because we live in that area. That facility was excellent! I did not eat there but we were there during meals being served and it smelled great. What impressed me the most with this facility was the interaction of the staff with the residents. Overall, that would be the only one I visited that I would give the highest rating to. It would be the right place if the price was not an issue.

Everything at Forum at Knightsbridge was clean and well maintained. But they don't have much activities.

Their rehab facility is clean. My sister has a semi-private room there now. She's getting some physical therapy and help her to get some balance. She has some issues with getting dizzy. The staff are friendly and nice.

My mother is a resident at The Forum at Knightsbridge and the facility has many wonderful employees who do a great job caring for my mother. In the past I have noted on many occasions about such care. However, when I express a legitimate complain or concern with certain members of the administration, I am sometimes met with unpleasant resistance. On May 12, 2013 I was informed there was an outbreak of scabies in the assisted living area of the facility. And, my mother, who is wheel chair bound was one of those who has scabies. How does this happen?

My whole family was incredibly pleased with the way our two family members were cared for at the Forum. With one relative experiencing dementia and the other with extremely limited mobility, we were afraid that there we would not be able to find a venue that would be able to support both, while allowing them to be able to see one another on a regular basis. Although they were separated for most of the time near the very end, the staff at the Forum became members of our family. From the middle of the night calls to the McDonalds ice cream runs, it brought tears to my eyes hearing about the pure love and selfless dedication these caregivers provided. The facilities were always clean and well lit, and we always felt comfortable visiting. The staff at the form was incredibly helpful in arranging the living spaces to make it seem like it was a second home. Even until the very end when we cleaned out the apartments, the staff at The Forum was always there to offer a smile, a hug, or a word of encouragement. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone with family who is suffering from memory-related illness, lack of mobility, or any other unique situation that the elderly face.

My family moved my grandmother here a few months ago after her husband unexpectedly passed away. She is an active lady but maintaining a house has become overwhelming. She was very hesitant to move into assisted she was very vocal stating that ' it's one foot in the grave' and made it very clear that she was not ready to 'kick the bucket' (her worlds). Unfortunatly, living on her own was no longer an option. She had a fall the previous year and if not for my grandfather being there, she would hav been in trouble. After much convincing from the family, she agreed to go on a brief tour, no commitments, no promises. As soon as she stepped foot on the property she began to open up to the idea. The facility really truly is 5 star. Located on 14 acres. Plenty of activities and amazing staff.

This assisted living facility was the first I ever visited. My immediate response was that they are not really how they are portrayed on movies or normal media. My grandmother seemed content and had various activities to fill her day with. Other constituents of the home seemed to also be at least content if not happy. There were the exceptions though. Some of the people there were extremely old and others had what appeared to be mental problems. The staff seemed to be very kind and when I asked my grandmother she said they were respectful enough. I didn't get to see the eating facilities or eat any food there but it seemed to be adequate enough because nobody complained about it. I think that overall this facility was decent and an acceptable place to be. However, I don't think that homes are really liked by the people that reside there because some of their freedoms are restricted.

I have been to several assisted living facilities in the Columbus, Ohio area. This one had a wonderful appearance from the outside. The grounds were well maintained and the buildings looked like they were recently renovated. Upon entering their welcome center, I was greeted by a very friendly lady. She offered to take me on a tour of the facility after I explained that I was looking for an assisted living facility for a family member. While going on the tour, she had someone else watch the desk. This made me feel good knowing that there is always someone available. I noticed that some areas required an access key code for safety. A lot of residents were friendly and talkative. I did not see many activities going on while I was there, but the staff member said that they host a different activity daily. The rooms were large and had a nice layout, but were not as nice as the outside of the buildings. Overall, I would rate their staff with 5 stars but their actual facility was average.

thought the facility was OK. it seemed clean and effective. it did smell funny but that was expected. the staff seemed qualified and caring. never checked out any amenities. The facility seemed modern and well maintained. my mother was at the end of the hall, so i saw the other rooms. the patients seemed OK but bored. seems like there are more activities at first community village, bit i may know it better.

The facility has been very helpful. The staff is generally friendly and helpful whenever needed. They have controlled access areas, preventing exit or entry unless a code is given to you. The rooms are nice, well laid out and generally larger for the price compared to other nearby facilities.
