My mother is at The Avalon of Lewis Center. She's been there for four years, and I've decided to keep her there. It's very clean on the inside and the outside. They have a very nice courtyard, where they grow a lot of vegetables and flowers. They have a really nice theater room and two big dining rooms. They have a lot of activities. Even on the weekends, they have people in there. Everybody seems to be very pleasant. I would rate the staff high. They seem very caring and supportive to my mother. Most of the time, the food is pretty good. There are times where it just doesn't look appetizing. They're cheaper than other places I looked. They have activities seven days a week. They start at 10:00, and they go until dinnertime, which is 5:00. She's a resident of assisted living, but they also have memory care.

SINCE THIS FACILITY BECAME AVALON IT HAS GONE DOWN QUICKLY, IN CARE, FOOD, CLEANLINESS, NEEDING MORE WORKERS, LAUNDRY BEING DONE, NURSING, ECT! ROOMS ARE GREAT WHEN CLEANED, STAFF IS NICE BUT NEVER FOLLOWS THOUGH WITH WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL, GETTING SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE CAN BE FRUSTRATING! ACTIVITIES ARE LESS AND LESS.

We are in the process of moving in. It's a very nice place. One of the nice things they have is a very safe shower. They have two dining rooms that you can order off the menu. The resident's rooms were nice size and so far, the people we've come in contact with are very nice as well. A couple other people that live there said the food was enjoyable. The staff is so helpful that they said they are going to help me invite some friends for a tea or luncheon.
