I thought Brookdale Piqua was very great, and it was my favorite place of those I toured, I tried to get my mother there. I loved the director and the staff there, the activities director, and the person who was in charge of maintenance and things. They were just super, they knew what they were talking about and they were very energetic. They didn't talk to you like it was just "Yadda, yadda" like just another person. They're very, very nice. I think his name is Chris, he was the director, he called me several times because he knew I was very much trying to get my mother to switch there. And he stayed in touch with me and tried to help me, which he didn't have to do. What appealed to me was when I came in at lunchtime, and they had something that I didn't see very often, which was tablecloths on the tables. It was more like a dining room instead of a cafeteria. And the residents had made centerpieces on tables, like for whatever season. It was very nicely done. The facilities were super, they even had a spa room with one of the walk-in tubs. They had a spa room where you could sign up, and at a particular time go into one of the walk-in tubs and have a spa time, and somebody's there to help you. I like the activities director, they had probably more options than I'd seen anywhere else. The difference was that they did more trips out of there, and the courtyard was beautiful. Everything about it was, to me a cut above the rest, but my mother didn't think so. They were a little bit more expensive than what she's paying now, so that played a little part in it.

My mother lives here and they have a great building and their activities program is the best I have seen.
