My friend was a resident of Spring Meadows Extended Care. They were accommodating. My friend was not in very good shape, and that was the problem. It is an older building, but it was kept up okay. They answered all my questions, and they took care of my friend. They had locked down quite a few times, so they took care of it pretty well. And then we were checked when we went into the building too.

My mother was there one week before she died with hospice. The nurses on night shift did not care much. I was with my mom and wanted more pain meds for her but the nurse could not be found in the facility for over one hour. I ended up calling 911 and the paramedics came. As soon as the came in, the nurse shows up. Another time, I purchased some spring water for my mom and asked the day nurse to make sure they only use this water that I placed in her room. These uncaring nurses still gave her tap water. Who knows if she died quicker because of the lack of care. Another time, after feeding my mom, we came back in the morning and the same half container of jello and half glass of water that we left the night before, was still sitting in the same spot. No one had given her any water for over 12 hours. We are considering hiring an attorney about these matters.
