Mom lived a Kingston Residence of Perrysburg until she passed away a few months ago. The staff is amazing! True genuine caring and mom was always happy. She loved to play Bingo and enjoy RagTime Rick's performances during Happy Hour. We toured many other facilities and knew Kingston was the perfect fit just by the way the staff and residents interacted with us while touring. Staff is always smiling and go over and above for their Kingston family as they call their residents. Mom enjoyed the food and especially the themed lunches/dinners. Cost was average in comparison to the five other places we toured. The Executive Director was very hands on and communication was excellent. I highly recommend Kingston. They seem to have figured it out!

This facility provides daily, planned activities, weekly outings and a menu with much variety. The staff is sincere and caring. A significant problem is the lack of parking. Frequently only 2 - 4 spots are available on the entire property and those are some distance from the entrance. This has been discussed with management. They admit to being aware of the inadequate parking but have no short term or long term plans to rectify it. If you plan on frequently visiting your loved one here, be advised. The constant lack of adequate parking will be constantly frustrating!

My dad was a resident of Kingston until he passed away. The staff was very attentive and always paid attention to the small details. For example he liked a cup of coffee about 6:00pm at night. His nurse aides would knock on his door with coffee just to make him feel special. He had many friends.Kingston is a close knit community where the residents are family. He especially loved going on outings and participating in activities. He was never bored! I would like to take a minute to thank everyone for the wonderful care he was given. I highly recommend Kingston to anyone looking for assisted living.

Kingston Residence was nice, but it even had less social activities as the other community. You didn’t see a lot of people socializing either. The staff seemed nice. I didn’t really engage too much with them. We just did a quick visit. The rooms seemed very nice and very clean. It was respectable. We saw the dining area, but we didn’t try the food. The dining area seemed nice and clean. They can improve on the social activities and doing more to engage the residents with the day-to-day activities.

Husband w/TBI

I am not familiar with Kingston's Memory Care but my husband (who suffered a traumatic brain injury) was at Kingston, Perrysburg in 2015 for one week in the Skilled Nursing Area. It was a horrific experience! The nurse's aides here were WONDERFUL- loving and attentive but the nurses were terrible! Worse yet, the management did not seem to care. My husband left this facility to go back into the hospital after one week for scheduled surgery. As soon as he arrived at the hospital, I was informed by Respiratory Dept, my husband's trach had not been "cleaned in days". I could provide more terrible details of our experience with the nurses here- all in just one week's time. Good news is we transferred him to Wolf Creek Village Nursing after his surgery. He spent almost six weeks at Wolf Creek. We had excellent care there so it does exist! If I could give 0 stars to Kingston Perrysburg, I would.

My mother-in-law was at Kingston. I like the cleanliness. From what I'd seen, the rooms were nice. They were kept up. The facility was clean and well-decorated. For assisted living, they were set-up with their own menus, and it was set up very nice. My mother-in-law was there for six months. She has Alzheimer's, so she was in their locked-in residence. Also, they had no activities that I knew of. They would just sit around and watch TV. Security and safety were good. I would recommend this facility if they were not Alzheimer's patients. They kind of shooed my mother-in-law away because she would not sit; she wanted to walk all the time. They kicked my mother-in-law out because she started to become violent. She did not want people touching her, and I don't know if they got aggressive with her or what, so it got worse; she went into the hospital, and they told me that they didn't want her coming back.
