My mother has been in AVIVA Glendale for a month now. It is a very nice facility for the rate. It has been a good experience for her. She has mentally improved quite a bit from being there because she has a lot of socialization at the facility. Independently, she's improved a lot, so I'm happy with that aspect of the facility. They had quite a bit of turnover with the staff. Currently, they are looking for a cook because they lost theirs. They are still being fed fine, so I have no issues with that. Overall, I think the management staff there are very helpful and a great group of people. She has a shared room, which is the same as all the other rooms that they divide in half. She currently doesn't have a roommate, but she will eventually. They play bingo, puzzles, other games, and stuff like that. They have several musicians come in to play guitar, sing, and play the piano for them. They have outings. They have a bus that takes them out for sightseeing, so they get out of the building and go look at things. My mom goes on those at least a couple of times a week. She is happy to get out. They are constantly busy doing something, and they love it. They have a room that is like a salon. My mom always goes to the activity room to play games. They also have another room that they consider as the movie room. It is a nice facility. It is small. She doesn't feel like she's in a gigantic place and doesn't gets lost.

It is a smaller facility so it has more individual care. The staff is friendly, courteous, respectful, and very professional. The grounds are nice, and the place is close to the expressway and shopping. The rooms are spacious.

The staff really cared about my grandmother who lived there for several years! She enjoyed the variety of activities and outings and made many friends.
