If I could give a negative star I would! Don't go here! This place should be shut down. Contracted nurses (not employees) who don't care. My dad almost choked several times, got a UTI and took them almost 2 weeks to treat after he was in pain and misery. It's the type of care that belongs on 3rd world country, not USA. PLEASE don't put your loved one here, I will go to my grave with the images of my sweet dad and his suffering here. Just plain horrible

Since they changed hands the place is awful and so is there food. My sister lasted one day and asked to be moved somewhere else. I couldn’t believe her breakfast a danish, a piece of Canadian bacon and a banana. Their only purpose is to make money. Stay away from this place at all costs.

There are so many agency aides that not many get to know the "patient". The call button system is not adhered to. The wait period is ridiculously long, often more than 30 minutes. When you try to find someone, the aides are on their phones in quiet corners, "hiding". Weekends/holidays are the worst, as the floor nurse and Unit Manager are off, so very little supervision -can't find help for toileting, changing bed linens, etc. Aides are not careful enough when toileting either - My elderly patient got 2 UTI's as a result. The activity personnel are lively and care about the patients, wish there were more activities, though; Also caring and good are PT, OT and NP Lidia (Cle Clinic NP). However, the aides are often missing and not attentive- and they are who one needs most of the time. There is not enough help to care for patient's needs in a timely fashion, and much of the help is from agencies, so little accountability. The food is good and usually on time. The rooms are fine, with windows, TV and bathrooms. It was often difficult to get someone to answer the phone at the nurses station - the phone should also ring directly to the nurse in charge.

My mother was discharged from the hospital to Villa St. Joseph skilled nursing facility, the organization as a whole is disorganized and negligent with patients. My mother fell multiple times and was laying on the floor for several hours, she was unable to get herself up. The nursing staff does not round on patients, bathe or toilet them either. I would be there for hours and not one caregiver came in. The nursing staff does not adhere to a dress code, meaning that nurses and aides would were different color scrubs, making it hard to differentiate who was the nurses and who were the aides. I would see employees constantly on their cellphones and/or on personal phone calls with ear buds. My mother went there for physical rehab, her mobility and strength was worse leaving then going in.

I still have nightmares about this place and how my mother and the others were treated. I felt so sorry for so many of the older people who had no one coming to visit and check on them. Rude staff, neglectful in so many ways. I could write a book, but I don't want to relive this again. My mother was not demanding in any manner, she was one of the most gentle creatures on earth. I had to be there so often it was exhausting. I was just thankful that I could be there to help her. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My mother was at Villa St. Joseph, and I was very happy with them for the most part. The only problem I had was the rooms were somewhat hospital like and sterile. It's a rehab facility, so I can understand the hospital kind of quality to it. She's been there twice, and I was very happy with the activities they had. They had plenty of activities for people to get involved with. My mother got out and met people. They moved her around quite a bit, and they gave her physical therapy regularly. I didn't like the way the room looked, but I was happy with the care, it was good. The facility looked very nice, well kept up, clean, and well maintained. The value for money was very good.
