My wife is now at Arden Courts of Parma. She is in the memory care unit, but she is not suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia or anything like that. It is something called bipolar. She has been there for six weeks now. They have lots of activities. There are two activities directors here that keep the residents busy. They have a very nice facility that has a rather large outdoor walking path that is secured by fencing all around the building. They have two cats and two dogs that have the freedom to roam inside the building itself. The building has four separate communities. They have a nice dining room area and a nice living room with a big screen TV. In the common areas outside these four little communities, they also have some sitting areas for people to gather together. It's all secured. The staff has got quite a longevity here. A lot of them have been here for many, many years. The caregivers have great compassion and they're very polite with all of the residents that I see here. The director has been here for several years. He is very, very caring and responsive to not only the residents but also to me. I've told him the good things that I see, and I told them some things that I don't like also, and he has addressed all the concerns that I have. The food is prepared well. It has a good taste and good flavor. Most of the time the portions seem normal and there seems to be a good variety of them. But they don't have soup every day. All the activities are excellent.

Our sincerest and deepest appreciation to the staff at Arden Courts of Parma. They were a team of angels who took care of our Dad for 18 months. Very professional and caring, providing the respect he so deeply deserved.

Arden Courts of Parma is memory care and my mother is not there yet. The staff was very knowledgeable because they deal exclusively with memory issues, and I was very impressed. They even did seminars for the community to understand Alzheimer's or dementia. They try to keep them busy. I like that they have different neighborhoods, so all the areas were on the smaller side. They had a courtyard and grills outside for families. The kitchen and the dining area were small. It's excellent for memory care, but the room was very small.

Arden Courts was lovely and some of the things they were doing really seemed to be top-notch. They had different things planned like cooking classes, and they were doing music. We really would have considered that, but the cost was more than I could afford right now. You could even have a pet there. It was beautiful.

My wife is in Arden Courts. Everything is good. They serve good food and have activities, like musicals and crafts classes. They check on the people every hour and know their people because it's like being at home. They seem to have a good rapport with their people.

I would put Arden Courts at the top of the scale. The staff are very friendly and they seemed to treat the Alzheimer’s patients very well. They really have a nice courtyard to where they can walk, but the thing is nobody is watching the open area thus the reason why my father got outside of the facility. The staff were not that very attentive with their patients going out to the open area. The meals were good. They give you snacks and they made sure that the residents enjoy their food. They also have exercise, videos, and they do sing along. They do have a craft room. I would give this place a high rating and the only reason for the minus score was because of that incident.
