My mother lived here 4 years and died alone in her bed except for my brother's family and mine "being" with her from behind a computer screen. Only one nurse came to check on her for the 8+ hours of her transition. A few minutes after she died, someone came in the room - it was about 2am - and abruptly turned off the computer screen without saying anything. The cruel nature of this action will stay with my family. Parkside claimed that we didn't have the right to Skype with our mother even though the computer had been used for this purpose for 4 years. Please reconsider bringing your loved one here to live and die....

Stay away! This facility is staffed by agency staff that do not care about your loved ones. Our loved one sat in urine soaked diapers for hours. Meals were missed because no one came to room for feeding. We complained often about care and they retaliated against our loved one, which I have photos to prove. Stay away!

I wish I would have followed my own advice.
My mother was sent to PV for physical therapy. I knew it was a holiday weekend and questioned the fact that she would sit with no therapy for 3 days. The hospital social worker confirmed with PV that they have 7 day PT.
This was so far from true, by the time my mom started PT 4 days later she was already feeling better from the cortisone shots in her knee. The aids and nurses were amazing until the administration gets involved. We had a care plan appointment set for 2:15 yesterday. 45 min to the appointment I got a call they were sending my mother out for evaluation. Claiming a social worker sat with my mom and she stressed to them she wanted to die and had a plan. I'm her Power of Attorney and stressed to them she is not to be seen by anyone other then PT unless I was present. They decided to ask her questions she doesn't remember they asked her as she was not even understanding what was going on. My mother where's a bipap and no one knew how to use it. This makes her even more confused as she a Co2 retainer. I stressed to leave her at the facility I was on my way. They said no matter what they were sending her for evaluation. NOOOOO They had an ambulance already there waiting outside her room. They went as far as calling the police as we tried to take her out of this place. Needless to say we refused treatment and they had no right holding us up. I will be filling a complaint with joint commission and won't stop there. Please don't send your love one here. They don't treat them for what they are sent for. This is ridiculous what they did to my mother.

Parkside Villa was stellar. My mother was there as a resident for a while. I would highly recommend it. The facility was well designed. It was very clean and didn't smell like urine. It was very well-staffed with doctors and nurses, like if you called them 21 times in a hour to go to the bathroom, they would respond every time. It was very cheery, nice, and pleasant. They offered three meals in a nice dining room, and the food was very good with snack and beverages available, too. The rooms were nice with very clean bathrooms and refrigerators for the residents. Their physical therapy was very good. The physical therapy people knew what they were doing. They also had an excellent activities director, and who planned things happening all day long every day. The activities director went to everybody's rooms to get them involved. They had great assistance and great activities and projects.

Administration is horrible and attempted to double bill us for Medicare covered therapy. Also, tried to bill us for days not there and the therapy department is a huge problem. Please stay away for your own good.

Parkside Villa in Middleburg Hts, Ohio is a great Nursing Home. The facility is well staffed with talented Nurses and Nurses AIDE's. This facility is a rather new one and at times add's more patient room's too it. It also is a newer facility and can compete against older and new one's. It has two floor's and have 5 elevator's. The two different type's of room's are the double resident occupied and single resident room's. The single resident room's are for the self paid. The Nursing staff are well trained and educated for the patient care. The kitchen is very large, and the food is very good too. They have a laundry department that is under staffed and the resident's laundry is always missed placed. The outside of the facility is verry inviting to the resident's and family visitor's. The only issue with the facility is that the Nurses Aide staff is low and not enough for the personal attention that the resident may need at times. Over all this is a great facility for a loved one to go for short or long term care.
