It's a small assisted living, and the residents had their own apartments. We saw the dining room, which was nice. We also saw several of the apartments. There were only 28 people there, but they can take more. It looked good if your loved one could manage having apartment style living. We talked to one of the people, and he took us around. We saw everything, and we were quite pleased with it. The activities were pretty standard; they had some religious services scattered through the week, bingo, and different kinds of activities about current events. Greenbrier Retirement Center was one of our top choices, and if something happened, they could be moved right next door to the nursing home.

I am completely displeased. It is extremely disorganized and extremely unhappy. They complain about each other, they complain about the residents, it is on the dirty side, they are low on snacks, and it is just completely disorganized with terrible management. They are criticizing each other, and then they will complain about the residents. I would not recommend anybody sending their loved one there. There is no communication; you can repeat yourself over and over, and the next thing you know nothing you said sank in. Some of the people I like personally, but would never recommend them professionally. They have some game nights and they have movie nights. Everything is sloppy. There are a few caring employees, but the rest of them you can tell that they are there to get their eight hours or their twelve hours, and then they want to get out. I really don't have anything good to say about the place outside of the fact that my parents are safe and that they can't go anywhere. Outside of that, it's a joke. I've had a terrible experience with them. I would not recommend Greenbrier.
