The Cottage Painesville was very homey, very personal, and very quaint. The owners were very nice and accommodating. It's not like those big places that are only out for your money. The price is very reasonable. They're running it like a home, not a business like these bigger places, and they were not pushy at all like the other people were.
They have a small library, they have activities, and they have a very nice fenced-in yard that has a nice patio and you can have cookouts with your family. You can sit in their living area, no TV, just a fireplace if you want to read. They accommodate your meals because they're a smaller facility. There are only like 12 people there, so they don't cook all the same food that you see at the nursing home. They have somebody that will come in and cut your hair, color your hair, and paint your nails. They have a lot of services. They have a bus that takes you to a senior center. They have a lot of staff, and the price is well worth it.

Starkey Place was very homey and very clean; it reminds you of a little bread cottage. The staff has been wonderful, they were very welcoming and caring. It’s a small community; I think only 10 people are there. They have absolutely wonderful food; they make all of their food every day.
