My husband was in Riverside Landing Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation after surgery. I asked them to take care of him so that he could regain his strength, because he had been in the hospital for two weeks. This was during COVID, and they admitted him, but he had to have COVID testing, which was an extra layer on top of everything else that was going on. They accepted him and he got there on a Friday, but I could not reach them Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I finally reached them Monday and found out that the administrators had COVID, and they were accepting new patients. I am still very upset, and that happened early December 2020. I got him out as soon as I could. They have assisted living there too. He could not eat while he was there; he was on a liquid diet. The staff did not take care of the wound on his arm where they had injected the intravenous needle, and it became infected. When he got home, the home health nurse came, took a picture of his arm, and told him he needed to go to the emergency room right away. He was admitted to the hospital and was there for three-to-four days. They had to address the wound on his arm because he had not been taken care of at Riverside Landing. If you walk in, you can smell things, and the odor is strong. It is not well taken care of inside.

Mom stayed in Riverside Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation from August until November. I would say that all in all, it was as good experience as she was going to get for a nursing home. I thought the girls were especially caring, especially Alison and Vanessa who were in her room often. The folks were super and really did care about Mom, and I appreciated it. The food was on the poor side; Mom didn’t like it at all, but she didn’t like too much anywhere.
