Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake was beautiful outside because it's Meyers Lake, but I wasn't impressed with the inside at all. It's not dirty, but when you walk in, there's a large room and all the residents were in there. There were not enough restrooms as well. It was a nice facility, but I didn't like the fact that it was so small, you had a lot of residents cramped into one area. To me, they're short-staffed for as many residents as I saw. When you look at the elderly with the conditions that they have, they need more people there to assist them. The room wasn't bad. It's not as large as the other place though and there's not as much to offer, but mom will have her own shower there. It's an older facility and not as updated and if it's gonna be that small a facility, they should have fewer residents. As far as the seating area, you can divide it up into areas for different activities and you can still have that big screen television up there for those that want to watch television. The staff that was there was friendly. The facility could've been better. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the greatest. One of the things I like about it was they have different people come. In the brochure, they had the sheriff's department come in with the K9s to visit with them, and they have field trips.

We went to Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake. It was very good, they were very helpful. She walked us through, took us to the room, and showed us around. We even communicated with some of the people that lived there, and that was pretty awesome. She got upset a little bit because they were interfering with the tour, and we told her it was fine because we understand that they're like that, and just want to know what's going on. She was fine with that, once we told her we didn't care about them walking around. She's been calling me, keeping in touch with me to find out if I've made up my mind yet. She said if there was any way she could help us to please let her know and she would do whatever she could. I appreciate all that kind of help. It's very helpful for me. I thought it was very nice. It was very clean. The rooms were very nice, but I just think they're a little bit small. They have a beautiful outside patio. They have gardens there that people can help with, and they're allowed to bring in the food and stuff from the gardenn, and I think that's great that they allow them to do that.

I had a very good experience visiting the memory care area of Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake. The staff was very knowledgeable, and the facility looked good. They had two buildings, and all the residents have memory issues or Alzheimer's. It's all in a fenced-in area, so it's secure. They've got a courtyard that the residents can go outside to when the weather's appropriate. I wasn't too impressed with the rooms. They were small, but they try to keep the residents out in the common area most of the day. They have someone that comes in to do haircuts, they do crafts, and they have activities going on throughout the day. It's a good location too.

My husband just moved into Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake last week. He hasn't been there that long, but I think he is doing OK so far. I like the place because it's small. There's eight patients and they're all Alzheimer's and dementia people. They provide food and care for these people, like washing them, giving them their pills, and whatever they need. The manager and all the people there have been wonderful.

Allay Senior Care was such a blessing for my family. My mother was there for several years before she passed away from Alzheimer’s. The nurses were so kind to her and my family. They were so supportive and helpful especially to my father who visited daily. I honestly do not know what our family would have done without Allay. Our family will be forever grateful for Allay

I liked the layout of Allay Senior Care. It looked more homey than other places, and less hospital-looking. I saw the residents playing cards, but I didn't see any structured activity at that time. They have areas inside and outside that they can go to.

Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake was a really good place and nicely kept up. I was there at lunch time and the food looked appetizing. The staff was very nice and the director was wonderful. They were competent and very caring. They had a lot of residents on different levels of care. They could go out in the beautiful courtyard because it was gated with a fence all around. There were two buildings and any of the residents could walk outside. Each room had its own personal bathroom, which was a big plus for me.

Allay Senior Care is a small place of two buildings with only 16 residents in each. I like that they specialize in Alzheimer’s and memory care. They have three meals with snacks and exercise. My husband takes long walks; they have a beautiful area in a park-like setting, which is very nice for them to get outside and exercise there. The staff is very polite and helpful. They have a doctor on call and doctors that come in at different periods.

Allay Senior Care was very good, and I thought it was safe for someone with dementia. The caretaker came out on a Saturday and helped us. We liked it, but we're not ready yet. It was close to my home, so it would be easy for me to visit my mom. Some of the rooms were small, but they have bigger rooms too. People come in sometimes; they had a woman come in with a baby doll, they had a really nice lounge area where they could watch in a huge big screen, they had a little restaurant where food was served, and they had a schedule of activities. They had a nice outdoor area.
